Description of 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce

NO RESERVE!!! This 1974 Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce is offered for sale locally.
According to Marc Fazio:the chassis number AR 3045032 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce USA (115.02), manufactured on the 18th September 1974 and sold on the 28th November 1974 to Alfa Romeo USA, Englewood Cliffs.

The body colour is ivory, with amaranth tex interiors.

This sporty Alfa Romeo 2000 Spider Veloce convertible is loads of fun. I am selling it because I do not have a garage to store it inside. You can enjoy driving this sporty little Alfa while you install the carpet of your choice. I removed the carpet and have not had the time to purchase and install new carpet. I was going to put the sound deadening/heat insulation sheets in the floors but never found the time. The new top was installed a year ago and it has no damage and the vinyl back panel is clear and flexible. This car is great for enjoying the summer and marvelous for beach trips to soak up some wind and sun. The car has not been damaged to my knowledge and the original owner chose to change the color from off white to a deep dark purple/plum with nice metal-flake. The paint job is professionally done. There are a couple of spots between the paint and window edge that need touch-up. There is a small blistered spot just under the trunk lid in front of the bumper shelf. No rust out, just paint blistered up. I removed the weber carbs and installed new kits and tuned them and re-installed with new gaskets. Fuel system works great. I have the original fuel injection unit and also have a nice turbo pump that can be added to sale for extra charge. All the glass and windshield are excellent, no scratches or cracks. All door handles and window cranks work. There is a small hole in both front floor pans where the drain plug/blanks should be. Easy to fix with small patch. I will probably have them fixed prior to end of auction. I am driving the car daily. This roadster can be driven to your location, but I would recommend replacing the tires before any long trips. The spider only has 29,550 original miles and the drivetrain is strong and the metal is solid. I have many pictures and if you have any questions, please ask. I require full payment within 5 days of end of auction. I can deliver for a negotiated fee, but all funds must be received before the vehicle leaves my location. The Title for this Alfa Romeo is clean, open, a Pennsylvania title. The car is located and tagged in Alabama, but Alabama does not provide title for vehicles prior to 1975.

By the way, I drove this car today, Memorial Day, and it ran great. It shifts out in all 5 gears and reverse also works great. I will probably install at least the left hand side view mirror to make it a lot easier in reverse operation. The car runs great and gets great compression, no smoke...just pure power. Fun with the top down. I will post some new pictures tomorrow of underneath the car and more detail including the trunk and door panels. Please ask any and all questions. I had one bidder ask me what I charge for delivery. I normally charge $1.00 per mile one way (plus lodging for each day it takes to get to your location), but I can give you an accurate and exact estimate for delivery if I know your location. I personally deliver on an open trailer and take very good care of your car. You can definitely get it delivered for less money. Also, remember, if I deliver...all money must be received before I leave with the vehicle. There will be no exchange of money/cash at time of delivery for safety reasons. Installed the left door panel today and also installed the side view mirror, drivers door. Replaced the manual choke cable with one that should not rust, brand new, works great. Will install the passenger door panel Saturday morning and will download additional pictures to the photo album mentioned above. Drove the car also with the top down and received plenty of thumbs up from other drivers...fun car, lots of power.
