Description of 1969 AMC Other

In order for my wife and I to fulfill our dream of doingvolunteermissionary work in another country, have to make asacrificeand sell the car I said I'd never sell. Help us out, nd get an Awesomecar at the same time!
The car is a 1969 AMC Rambler 440 wagon. It was my first car, purchased it in 2005 and it became a father son project with my dad. We had the interior done and the car repainted the original Matador red, t was bought new locally and was used as a local church car it's whole life and had 90,000 miles when I got it. The car was my daily driver through high school. During my senior year I was in a minor accident that messed up the drivers front fender. At that point I decided to rebuild the car how I wanted it. I pulled the original 6cyl and automatic, nd swapped it with an AMC 360 and a 4-speed. The engine was totally tore down and completely rebuilt with the help of amachinistfriend and my dad. The motor is a stock bottom end with high compression dog-leg heads withover-sizedChevy valves and heavy duty springs, oller rockers, 12 lift 272 duration cam, orker intake, SD ignition, nd Holley 750 carb. The engine is new and never been fired. The roller rockers and remaining top end parts have not been bolted on. Theengineshould be good for at least 400hp. The trans is a rebuilt T-10 4-speed. I rounded up or purchased all the rest of the parts needed for the 4-speed swap and they will come with the car. It's not far from being a runner, asically just needs final assembly. The swap was done using the original crossmember and components and Bultear solid v8 conversion mounts. The car currently has a non-posi Ford 8" rear end, nd stock front suspension with new KYB front shocks. The car comes with a Scarebird front disc conversion kit but will require you to purchase the rotors and calipers. Also included is a Prothanepolyurethanebushing kit for the car new in the box. The wagon rolls on staggered brand new 17" Rocket Racing wheels and Rikan Raptor tires purchased from Newstalgia Wheel. that still have the stickers. The front end could use a drop and wheel spacers. The car features re-upholstered reclining Ambassador front seats and original re-upholstered rear seats, ew custom navy blue carpet, ustom grey suede headliner and A, nd B-pillars. The doors, loor, irewall, nd storage compartment were all coated in Fat-Mat sound deadner. The ca r comes with a brand new custom made seal and window felt kit for the whole car (new front door seals have already been installed). The original gauge bezel was custom fitted with new gauges and the car comes with a brushed stainless dash trim kit. The interior door trim, ash, ams, ed, -pillars, ngine compartment and remaining interior pieces were all sanded down, rimered, et sanded and shot with single stage black paint. I used to work at a body shop and all the prep work was done right, he paint is not perfect but very nice. The interior is not assembled but is sitting in the car. I no longer have the door panels. The body on this car is pristine. The ONLY bit of rust on the car was just starting on the passenger rear fender and I rust stopped it. There is absolutely NO rust any where else on the car including the sub frame and floors. The body is straight and all the steel is original. I can't post all the pictures here but I'd be happy to send some to any one who doubts my claims. I started prepping the body for paint and never finished. My plan for the car was to do two tone black with a navy blue pearl top. The car comes with new unopened paint and primer, s well as House Of Kolor blue pearl that is designed to be added to single stage paint. The hood has been fitted with an AMC SC/360 hood scoop but it has not been molded in. I still have the original uncut hood also. I have 90% of the parts to finish this car as well as lots of extra parts, can't post pictures of everything but I'm including a picture of how the car looked before I tore it down, o you can see how complete and nice it was. The car basically needs painted and assembled. I ran out of time and money, ot married, nd life happened, nd I was never able to finish the car. I'd love to see it go to someone who will pick up where I left off. These are good looking wagons that you never see, nd this car has potential to be one of the nicest.
An entire 15 page build thread can be found on The AMC Forum. com, bay will not let me post the link but if you google search "amc forum pro-touring rambler wagon" it should be there. you can also request a link, o it and a build album on photobucket from me.
I'm pricing the car very reasonably, he engine trans and wheels and tires alone are worth the price not to mention the rare rust free car they are in and all the other parts.UnfortunatelyI need to sell this soon and it needs to be gone before Oct 19th so if you plan on shipping, eep this in mind. The car rolls and steers so shipping shouldn't be a problem and everything should fit inside. I am accepting offers through Ebay so feel free to make one, ut thedepositis non-refundable so do not make an offer unless you are serious and plan to pay. This is obviously a non running project car and is sold as-is with a clean title. I can be contacted at 208-791-3484 (Logan) if you have any questions. It hurts to let this car go, nd to not have the joy of finishing it and taking my dad for a ride but sometimes you have to makesacrificesin life for bigger and better things. Thanks for looking!
