True survivor of the classic and rare AMC, AMX. Local Maryland car that was with last two owners over 25 years but hardly driven for last 8 as previous owner passed away and left to his wife. She kept car garaged and rarely drove except to local shows and cruise ins. One of only 2112, 390 4 speed cars built. Has the X code engine which was rated at 315 Hp and car certainly feels that powerful at least. Was originally Ralley Green but repainted White with red stripes about 15 years ago. Body is very straight with excellent fit and no serious rust issues anywhere. Paint is older and has a few chips and nicks here and there but did clean up real well and shows pretty good. All chrome is very good along with the glass and rubber trim all around appears to have been replaced not long ago as it is quite nice. Interior is correct, original Tan, Ventilear Vinyl w/reclining seats. Has factory Rally dash with factory tach + 120 mph speedo. Comes equipped with close ratio 4 speed trans, Weather eye climate control and original AM/8 track radio. We just replaced the carpets as they were showing there age but dash is original and has no cracks with excellent headliner. Original X code 390 engine is there and was rebuilt about 10 years ago and only driven a little over 2000 miles since. We just did complete tune up, installed remanufactured 4 bbl carb, new fuel pump, all new shift bushings, valve cover gaskets and oil filter housing gasket. Car runs and drives very strong with engine, gearbox, clutch, power steering, power brakes etc. all performing really well. All gauges, lights and signals function properly as well. Both engine and trunk compartments are clean and correct with factory space saver spare still there. Has nice Rally wheels with nearly new Firestone E70, redline tires. Underneath the car shows the 12 bolt posi-traction rear with new exhaust, springs and shocks plus very solid all around. Pictures are available upon request.
