Description of 1977 AMC Other

I'll start with the exterior : The car wears 99% of its factory paint. There is a place under the battery boxthat has been touched up and behind the left rear wheel.Luggage rack bumpers glass wheel covers wood grain are as they were when it left the factory.(a roll of factory wood grain goes with the car)The door hinges are tight. There are several knicks on the drivers door edge. And on the hood if you catch the light just right there is a very hint of a shallow ding. The car was kept in a two car attached garage.Interior:The seats are all firm. Windows work as they should. I added an am/fm AMC radio. I have the factory one. There is some plastic along the edge of the rear seat that has cracked the drivers door has a split and there is a tiny one under a screw on thepassenger's door. The assist strap on the drivers door has a split. The passenger's side is fine. There is some sun bleaching on the rear cargo carpet. The first owner left the garage door open during the summermonths and the sun faded it.Since this is a D/L optioned car the following are package upgrades:A/C ( I converted to 134 ten years ago. The a/c worked for seven years. I don't use the car enough tohave it recharged. But I will deduct two hundred dollars from the sale price if you wish to have it charged)Custom steering wheel woodgrain instrument panel light group dual horns wheellip mouldings skid stripes for the wagonhood edge moulding bumper nerfing stripes and an extra quiet insulation package. It has a rear seat speakerand rear window wiper. You can check the car out by looking at a 1977 AMC literature. It is the same except for the license plate.Mechanics:The following things have been completed. If factory parts were removed I stillhave them. The motor has been detailed radiator thermostat belts hoses batteryplugs cap wires ignition module valve cover gasket oil filter water pumpfuel pump rubber gas lines and fuel filter.Steering rack transmission filter shocks wheel bearings and the brake systemwas completely replaced. Including the booster. If the car sits for awhile the transmission it is just a touch slow to shift into reverse from park.If the car is started in neutral this doesn't happen. Its been this way since I have owned the car.Now going on eleven years.I've used the car over the years to go to cars shows.I replaced things that probably would have been just fine if I had left them alone. But it's really embarrassing sitting on the side of the road in your classic car.I have all the records during my ownership. When I purchased the car the owner was having a very difficulttime trying to remember past events. He wasn't able to give me the history of his ownership.I have taken the time to describe the car as accurately as possible.Feel free to call (304 647 3446) to ask any questions. Come look at the car yourself.Or have a third party inspect the car.If you win the auction and honestly feel this car has been misrepresented in any way you willnot need to complete the transaction.
