Description of 1963 Austin Healey 3000 MARKll convertible

up for auction is a nic, 963 austin healey 3000 mark ll convertible this car can be driven as is but should have a full restoration to be brought back to her glory days.i have many pictures of this ca, and will be adding new ones as the auction goes on. I have many receipts and documentation. on work that has been done and the origination of the vehiclethe engine was completely overhauled aproximatley 10 years ago by a reputable shop that specializes in british vehicle, .the bill for that job was well over 4,000 dollars it received new pistons, askets, eals ect. carb was also rebuilt at the same time this car runs excellent and drives great the transmission has a noise in first gear not sure what the problem is there but should be an easy fix as it shifts fine in all other gears. The chasis is very solid on this car, he only rust hole is on the rocker panel but would be an easy repair, he frame rails have surface rust but still have all of its integrity. I recently put this on my lift and it is very solid for its age, he wheels have minor rust and pitting but should clean up ok .This car would be excellent candidate for a full resoration as, he engine has already been overhauled and everything is there and solid. These cars go for big money restore, and this one would be a fun project. I am listing this for a friend. so if anyone has questions/ concerns please e mail me and i will get the answers asap .Again i have many, any pictures so if there is a particular area of the car you would like to see, probably have it. As i said, his car is a running and driving car, o there shouldn't be a whole lot of surprises when one gets started on the restoration. I am offering this car at a low opening bid and a very fair reserve considering the condition and mileag, there was only around 17,000 of these mad, nd im sure there are not many from that number left. This car is located in central maine, nd transporting is the responsibilty of the buyer a 500 dollar deposit is due with 3 days of the auctions end, ith the remainder due when car is picked up, within 7 days) and this car is being sold as is where is, ith no warranty expressed or implied . Feel free to inspect this car anytime during the course of the auction thanks for looking!
