Description of 1954 Austin Healey 100M Le Mans

1954 AUSTIN HEALEY 100M LE MANS --Burgundy/Cream with Black leather interior piped white and Black carpeting, pgraded to period Le Mans specifications, 6,000 miles since restoration. 2.6 liter inline 4 cylinder, -speed manual gearbox, omplete weather equipment. VIN: BN1L219151The Austin-Healey 100-4 BN1 roadster was introduced at the Earl’s Court – London Motor Show and was a huge success. The name was used to signify that this Healey was capable of breaking the 100mph barrier. In fact the Healey 100-4 was capable of reaching 102mph and with the windshield folded, 11mph! Healey also produced a race version, he ultra-rare 100S and offered similar “M LeMans” upgrades to cars sold for street use, ither at the factory or through dealerships. This particular Healey 100 was upgraded to M specification by a dealer at the time, hich is certified by the 100M registry, s shown with accompanying documentation sold with this Healey.This Austin Healey100M was restored approximately 10 years ago and painted to match the colors used on the boats being produced during the same period by Donald Healey. Previously owned by a collector and Austin Healey enthusiast based in Florida, his Healey was sparingly used. Subsequently, his Healey was sold to another collector who decided the factory engine performance of 85bhp could be improved upon and embarked on expensive mechanical improvements. Over $50,000 was spent on the following, he engine rebuild and upgrade resulting in a performance upgrade and horsepower increase to 115 dyno tuned horsepower.Work performed is as follows with all records and receipts available: The engine rebuild to M Fast Road specifications included a Steel Crank and Rods, 8.5mm Forged Pistons, luminum Cylinder Head, ompetition Steel Head Gasket, teel Flywheel, luminum Sump, ew Oil Pump, port Camshafts, teel Rockers, ernier Cam Sprockets, ew Timing chain, arrow Fan Belt Conversion, ew Water Pump, luminum Radiator, il Cooler Kit with spin on filter conversion, lloy Heat Shields, ew Exhaust Manifolds-Headers and New Stainless Steel Exhaust System.Further work performed included: Complete Brake Service, ifferential Rebuild with New Axles and a New Electrical Wiring Harness to complete all and ensure the utmost in reliability.This Healey is excellent in every way.
