Description of 1955 Austin Healey Other

This is an exciting opportunity to purchase an incredibly well sorted. original and fun to drive Austin Healey 100 with a 4” thick folder of records and regalia. As you can see in the photos. the original Body Production Card. Owners Handbook. Sales Brochure. even the original invoice from the dealer to the first owner in April 1955 accompany this lovely Roadster. Let me know if you need any other photos of the documents; as far as I know. they are all original pieces. This is not a “restored” car. its a well maintained original example with supporting documents showing the care and commitment of the few owners who have cared for the car over the last 60 years. The paint quality is fair for a driver status car. has a few little flaws here and there. The body gaps are very good in my estimation. convertible top may be original and the car sits properly on its suspension. The interior is great as you can see in the photos. There are a few things that are not original on the car. the Stuart Warner gauges in the center of the dash are not original but easily removable and welcomed as you drive the car! The car also has a louvered hood and leather strap like a 100M would have. I bought the car last year in Florida and used it in place of a rental car for the week that I was at the Amelia Island Concours. I used it frequently in the last year and maintained it as necessary. The generator bushings were noisy and I replaced the water pump this summer. We just fixed the windshield wipers and adjusted the brakes as they were pulling to the left. The overdrive works perfectly. brake master cylinder is new. It steers and handles like a dream. The engine has a few minor oil leaks common to Austin Healey’s but doesn’t drip all over the place. it doesn’t smoke. doesn’t overheat…. it's a truly fantastic driving car. It starts instantly. runs smooth. smooth driveshaft and quiet axle. The reason I am selling the car is because I am 6’3 and can’t fit in the car comfortably and want to change up my inventory a little.
