Description of 1956 Austin Healey Other 100 BN2

Beautiful 1956 Austin Healey 100 BN2.  Healey Blue laquer paintwork with dark blue top and interior.   37. 82 original miles.   Matching numbers.   M100 intake manifold and carburetors with rare valve cover.   Original four speed transmission with overdrive.   Very desirable. low production Austin Healey BN2 (sometimes referred to as 100-4 or 100/4).  Overall this BN2 is in very nice unmolested condition.   Current owner since 1972.   Approximately 4. 00 Big Healey BN2s were built in the one year of production.   Fitted with a simple but elegant dashboard. no rear seats. no external door handles. large wheel arches. basic weather equipment. and fold down windscreen. they were high performance for the day and remain usable and enjoyable in today’s traffic.   The car has a nice older restoration and runs and drives well.  The body is straight and solid. The undercarriage is solid and free of corrosion. The chrome is very nice throughout.  The refinished 60 spoke wire wheels are excellent and sit on Vredestein tires. The interior is in excellent overall condition.  The original switches and controls are present and functional. including the steering wheel-mounted turn signal. choke pull. and bonnet release. 
The engine compartment is original and clean but not restored.  The trunk is very clean with excellent upholstery and spare tire in place.  The engine is properly tuned and starts easily.
