How cool would it be to show up at a weekend party having your driver drop you off at the door? Or use this cool car as a wedding car and make some money with it. This 1979 Austin FX4D London Car was used as a cab on the streets of London before being restored in 2007 and shipped to the US in 2008. Before being shipped to the US the black paint was added to the car and painted over the original paint that was maroon. The paint has some bubbling as you can see from the pictures and also has some rust around the wheel wells. The Nissan TD-27 4- Cylinder diesel engine is not original to the car and the odometer is showing 4,307 miles. The car runs very well but the transmission does sometimes slip out of gear when stopped. Simply put back in gear and you're off! The grey/red interior as you can see from the pictures is in good condition and is ready to go. The right headlight is out. The dash in the car is from a 1989 model (called the Fairway). Also the car has an inoperative taxi meter and working taxi light. This cab is a piece of London history and could be yours. With a little work this could be a great car to have!
