Description of 1963 Austin Countryman Woody

Happy Holidays. Just in time for father's day. Give yourself and your family a smile with this car. Here is my Austin Countryman Woody. This is a Mk1 1963 Mini with 850 engine and flat roof. Sliding windows and external door hinges. These are very rare. This one is in excellent condition. The interior is basically new having been replaced when I bought the car (and I drive it only rarely). So the inside looks new. The Wood looks great. Overall the car is in a amazing condition. The White (slightly cream color) exterior paint is smooth and looks very good but does have a few small blemishes. (It is not the best paint job imaginable but it is very presentable and from a couple of feet away looks excellent). Mostly small imperfections visible only from close. Come see the car for yourself. It is very nice. The car has installed seat belt. I even put my daughter's baby seat in this car. The car runs strong and can easily be a daily driver. It starts right up. It is really fun to drive. And it is fast enough to go on the freeway but I have not really pushed past 60mph. Lights. blinkers etc all work. The speedo (or the speedo cable) that was installed is wrong so although the speedo needle moves when accelerating. it seems to overestimate the speed. I think the speedo was designed for a different speedo cable and doesn't have the right ratio. No big seal. It needle moves and when it says 80 mph you know you are not going at 80 !https://www. youtube. com/watch?v=2fCcMPRjM_k&list=UUw7cXEbqPGQ6fFphzf2EC5AThe front brakes were upgraded to dual leading shoe so it brakes better than the normal 1963. The color combo is the nicest they ever made. You will not be disappointed with this car. as even the paint. which I criticized as not perfect. is still pretty damn good. Don't ask me if the car had bondo etc. I have no idea. I dont see any rust. Car is garaged in Los Angeles. I bought the car basically in this condition about 10 years ago and loved it every time I took it out for a spin. Unfortunately not used often enough to keep it and with my daughter in High School it's time to sell some stuff. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or want to see the car in person. Sold as-is of course for a classic car . It is extremely nice with just enough little imperfections that you wont worry too much about driving it around.
