Description of 1990 Bentley Turbo R

The Bentley Turbo R is powered by a 6.75 litre Rolls-Royce designed V8 engine with the Bosch fuel injecton system and Garrett Turbo-charger. Exuding in excess of 300 horsepower it pumped out over 500 foot pounds of torque. So she is quite spritely indeed and, uoting Modern Car's review upon its release; "such is the power of this 2.5 ton behemoth, hen you power down streets in Sussex," .It has the look and a true behemoth it is! With the black and completely colour-coded bumpers, his is indeed a handsome beast.

The body of the car is straight and the paint is good consistency. It does have a few minor little chips and marks here and there but these are few and only show if one looks hard. Otherwise it is very shiny without any fading, or dents. Rubbers, ouldings, adges and external fittings are all in good condition. The tires and wheels were custom made for this car and have less that 100 miles on them. The tires and wheels were over 4000 dollars when purchased.

The interior of this car is quite stunning. The leather shows beautifully and is completely overhauled. The wood throughout is excellent and can comfortably be described as no chips or marks. Carpets, eats, ash, ront top-roll, ear parcel shelf and fixtures are truly excellent and I best encourage you to look at all the photos to fully appreciate how nicely the interior presents. These were specially ordered with Connolly hide facings and burl walnut tray tops - so very rare along withe foot rests for the back passengers. When the interior was redone it was at a cost of over 6500 dollars.

This car has been worked on extensively and has several thousands in receipts for all the work. The car does run and drive although it will smoke after it is running for awhile. It also seems to have a bit of a miss. When the gas is depressed the car does take off. There is also a leak in the transmission of the hydraulic somewhere. The car has been in storage for the last two years and there is a spot underneath the car of red fluid. The battery will also need to be replaced. I have put a lot of time and money into this car and now have decided to donate to the church. The winning bid can use the money as a tax deduction since the proceeds are going to charity.
