Description of 1940 Bentley Other |
The MK V is the ultimate Derby Bentley produced and is the rarest Bentley made with only seven cars remaining today. Chassis: B-34-AW was to be shown at the 1939/40 New York World Fair but due to the hostilities no cars were sent from the U. K. The Bentley was thereafter sold to Jack Barclay the world's largest dealer of Rolls Royce cars. A condition of the sale was that it would be privately used for two years and that the company would give regular evaluations as all the Bentley MK V's were really experimental cars with the latest state of the art technology for Rolls Royce and considered vital to the companies future production once the hostilities were over. B-34-AW is one of three Bentleys to have a MK V mascot on the radiator . this was designed by Georges Paulin. I will assist with shipping anywhere in the world to the winning bidder and will listen to offers/suggestions The Bentley is advertised elsewhere and I reserve the right to remove the car prior to the end of the auction. Best of luck. Any questions answered . Thank you for looking. |
