Description of 1948 Bentley Other

The Bentley was completely redesigned and refined after WW II with introduction of the Mark VI in 1946. It was the first car from Rolls-Royce with all steel coachwork (hence the "Standard Steel Sports Saloon"), and the first product completely assembled and finished at their factory.Because the Classic Car Club of America recognizes as Classics all Bentleys manufactured from 1919 to 1948, this splendid Mark VI is eligible for CCCA tours and events. It is a tremendous investment opportunity that also yield immediate dividends to the proud owner. This right-hand-drive model was originally purchased by a Philadelphia banker from Jack Barclays, in London; the world's oldest and largest Bentley dealership and service center. The prestigious automobile was serviced at Jack Barclay's for two years (the dealership still has all the records on file) before being exported to Philadelphia. For the past +20 years, it has been restored, stored, maintained and publicly displayed by an accomplished Collector located in Winfield, WV. He is now liquidating some of his most prized possessions, including this Bentley, several pre-war classics (Mercedes-Benz, International trucks, Chevrolets, Fords and Plymouths), custom cars and street rods. Since the 1980s, this particular Bentley has appeared in dozens of car shows conducted throughout the southeast.Between car shows and parades, it has been dry-stored under cover, inside a warehouse dedicated to select classics included in the owner's collection. There are only a few of these Classic Mark VIs currently on the market. Values range from $24, 00 to well over $100, 00. The low Reserve placed on this fine example will make your acquisition all that much more enjoyable (Good Luck with your bidding!).You can learn much more about this Classic car online at wikipedia (Bentley_Mark_VI) and many other classic car and Bentley websites.
