1992 BMW 325i Convertible 5 Speed Manual Transmission
NO RESERVE AUCTION!

Up for sale is a beautiful 1992 BMW 325i Convertible 5 Speed! The car is unmolested and all original! A rare and fine example of an E30 that is a true survivor!

The car has 141,653 miles on it (will go slightly up as I drive it sometimes). I purchased this car about a year ago after searching for over 6 months for a good example of a late model E30 vert. It is originally a southern car and thus not experienced the harsh abuse that most cars do here in the North East. I have used this car as my daily driver for the past year and it has never let me down. This is my 2nd E30 - (I still regret selling the first one, nd will probably regret selling this one as well.) The only reason I am selling it is because my girlfriend recently switched jobs and has to drive to work and she needs an automatic. I have 2 manual cars (also own an E39 M5) and just do not have the space for another car.

The car is in great condition with no issues. The engine runs great, he transmission shifts smooth and the clutch grips very well. The car is a blast to drive! The car is all original with no modifications besides the radio. It was upgraded to a Pioneer headunit which has an auxiliary port and a USB port with iPod/iPhone connection - it supports the newer Lightning connected Apple devices. The headunit was upgraded with new Polk Audio (I believe) component speakers and they sound great! The top is in great condition with no leaks whatsoever!!! It does however have a small patch that was sewed, atched and glued on the middle support beam. It has held up without issue! The AC works and blows cold!!!

I have done several things in maintenance/repairs since I've owned it and used only OEM parts:

  • New thermostat and coolant flush
  • Fan Clutch
  • Auxiliary Fan Resistor
  • Air Filter
  • Oil Changes + Filter
  • Convert to R134 + Recharge
  • Transmission Output Seal
  • Transmission Mount
  • Driveshaft Center Support Bearing
  • Drive Shaft Flex Joint (Guibo)
  • Spark Plugs
  • Repaired and reconditioned front seats
  • New 5 Speed "M" Weighted Shift Knob

Please keep in mind, hile this car is in great condition for its age - it is still a 23 year old car and it is not perfect. There are some issues to note:

  • The rear differential makes a humming noise at high speeds. It is not bad, nd has not gotten any worse over the past year - I drove the car almost every day. (According to documentation from the previous owner, e installed a 3.73 LSD from his other E30 which had higher miles) - I was going to flush the fluid and see if it went away, ut I never got around to it. It has not gotten any worse since I have owned it and it does not bother me too much.
  • The REAR drivers side window sometimes has trouble going up. The switch and window regulator work. It appears that the old grease has seized up. Usually spraying some lubricant inside on the gears helps loosen it up and it works better, ut then again gets seized up and must be given some pull support when going up. I was going to take it all apart and clean all the old grease out, ut again never got around to it.
  • The motor for the convertible top has been removed previously, he top functions manually without any issues.
  • The body has small minor dings around the body that can be removed with Paintless Dent Repair

I have the CLEAN title in hand.

Check video at the bottom of the listing.
