Description of 1972 BMW Other CSL

Featuring the "City Package" - allowing for some creature comforts to be added to a competition vehicle. the car features a factory aluminum hood and deckled. as well as thinner gauge steel roof. doors and glass. Rear trunk features nearly unobtainable rubber tipped "duckbill" spoiler. Originally delivered in Italy. imported to US by well regarded coupe fan. Sold to another and finally to the current owner who has been its caretaker since 2002. Original Italian dealer sticker still in rear window. The car is in outstanding original condition- not some soulless car that is simply an amalgamation of new parts. There is an appropriate patina for a car that is 42 years old. The car features factory optioned steel bumpers. power windows and blows ice-cold AC. Four new OEM wheels (Alpina) fitted with Michelin Pilots. Original FPS spare also included. Perfect headliner and perfect Perlon carpet. No tears in super-supportive Scheel seats. Even the original electro-mechanical clock still works as new with its endearing "click. "A contemporary stereo has been fitted. with high end component speakers professionally fitted in front wheel wells and rear package shelf- all readily reversible if you want a period-correct stereo or none at all. The choice of sound systems is highly personal. so this feature was left in the car. There are no cuts in door panels and everything is readily reversible. The car was featured in 5/2005 Motor Trend Magazine with the then-new limited edition M3. A copy of the magazine is included with the car. Tool set is complete (smaller red screwdriver is not clear. but is labeled as "West Germany. " Kit includes feeler gauges and window motor tool.
