Description of 1992 BMW 3-Series MTechII Convertible

1992 BMW E30 Convertible with OEM MTechII and HardTop meticulously restored and well cared for, needs nothing.E30s are appreciating in value daily and this rare factory equipped MTechII is sure to continue. What other car can you drive, enjoy and have the value increase as you also enjoy the car. It is a beautiful, dependable and comfortable classic that handles exceptionally well and is both powerful and economical. Enjoy your top down driving or put the soft top up for inclement weather. For cold weather or a quieter ride the color matched factory hardtop adds more comfort and snappy looks. This car looks and drives like new and it should, close to thirty thousand was spent on its restoration.
Around 2005 the previous owner started an extensive restoration. It was completed in 2007 and then stored in a climate controlled warehouse until purchased by me in 2014. Since my purchase I have driven it less than three thousand miles and have kept it covered when not being driven. But it is too nice a car for me to enjoy as a daily driver and that is what I now need as I totaled my daily last week.
Restoration detailsAs I previously stated the restoration was done by the previous owner.1992 factory MTechII car was disassembled, prepped and refinished in the OE Alpine White. All glass, hardware, gaskets and trim were replaced with new BMW parts. This includes all MTech trim and hardware which cost in excess of four thousand dollars alone. The paintwork was flawless with no runs, sags or imperfections and a better than original gloss.Currently there are some minute nicks in the lower front spoiler from rocks and an eraser size nick in one corner of the hardtopThe hardtop which was originally black from the factory was stripped also and painted Alpine white. Then all glass and trim was replaced with BMW original parts. Before reassembly of the engine and drivetrain all gaskets were replaced with OEM parts. All frame and subframe assemblies had new OEM bushings installed before re-installation.The original springs were replaced with HR springs lowering the car two inches. Shocks and struts are high performance Bilsteins. Third brake light and power antennae have been deleted. The soft top was originally a power unit. It has been converted to manual and works smoothly. The soft top is usable with no tears or leaks but is well worn, the rear window is flexible and clear. The original radio and speakers were replaced with high end Alpine units in the original locations. The dash and center console were all replaced and appear new except for a single hairline crack about three quarters of an inch long on the top of the passengers side. All gauges are OEM but were changed to white face and recalibrated.Original windshield wipers were removed and converted to European BMW mono wiper.New OEM carpet through out with added soundproofing underneath. All seats and interior trim were refinished in Lotus white leather with MTech cloth inserts. Rear OEM head rests were added
This is a beautiful and rare classic that needs nothing, no rust and never wrecked.Hardtop will not be sold separately unless the car sells first. I am located in Savannah, Georgia. Inspections are welcomed and encouraged but please do not bid unless you have the money. Deadbeats will be reported.Give someone a Merry Christmas!!
