Description of 1991 BMW 3-Series 325i

1991 BMW E30 - 325i Convertible

This car comes with a huge folder full of receipts from the first couple of original owners. The first two owners were older women who took very good care of this car. From looking at the records, you can see that both of them took the car to a BMW dealership for all of its tune ups and regular scheduled maintenance.
By the way the body looks (and the low mileage), I'm guessing the car was never driven in the winters. There are a couple small spots where surface rust has appeared, but that's nothing considering this car is 26 years old. There is no actual structural rust on this car. Only a couple spots on the outside of the car.
The motor runs very well and the transmission shifts perfectly. I bought this car and instantly started driving it how it is. The only maintenance that needed to be done was an oil change, just because I didn't know when it had last been done. The car starts right up and will take me anywhere I need to go. The first day I drove it, I added 300 miles to the odometer and it never gave me a single problem.
I understand that some people would rather not have an automatic transmission, myself included. I have an almost complete manual set up for it, out of an e28. I can work that into the deal, if you'd like to do the swap. The swap is very easy, I've done it before. I was planning on swapping it myself but I need to clear up space for other things I'm working on.
The interior is perfect except for some stitching coming out on the rear seat from the sun shrinking the leather, and some damage to the driver's side bolster from getting in and out. BMWs of this generation will almost always have cracks in the dashboards. This car's dashboard is crack free. The car will come with the original airbag steering wheel.
All of the comforts that make a BMW a BMW still work great. The On Board Computer performs flawlessly, every single function. The cruise control works, the original radio works (including the touch sensitive slider), and all of the check panel works.
The convertible top is original from 1991. So, as you can imagine, it has a couple of small tears. None of which have ever leaked, since they are patched from the inside. It is an automatic opening top, and will open on its own, but I like to help it out a bit to preserve it and to make sure the canvas gets folded up perfectly.
A few things that need some attention are:
-The glovebox doesn't open. There is nothing in the glovebox, so I don't mind. You can buy a new latch on eBay for $20. I haven't because I don't use it anyway.
-One fog light is broken.
-There are a few little dings and scratches and areas with surface rust on the car.
-There aren't any original floor mats, but you can have the ones I've been using (they are from an E28, so they're a bit wider).
-Someone tried lifting the car but put the jack on the spare tire well, so that's been pushed up about an inch.
-The AC needs to be charged.
Summary:
This is an extremely well running and driving car that looks fantastic, especially with the top down. BUT, it is an "older" car. You have to treat it well, and it will treat you well in return.
