Description of 1980 BMW 6-Series

This 1980 BMW 633CSi shows 148k miles and is powered by a 3.3-liter M30 inline-six paired to a 4-speed manual transmission.The car comes with service receipts documenting paint and mechanical work performed back to 2010. Partial service recordsshow ownership in Florida from 2010-2013 and Indiana from 2013 to present. In 2013, the water pump, thermostat, and drive belts were replaced along with the frontflex disc.The doors and fenders were repainted in Saphire Blue Metallic in 2010 using a Glasurit 2-part system. A receipt for $6,200 in paintless dent removal and paintwork is included below. BBS Mahlewheels were also refinished at that time and wear older Michelin Harmony all-season tires showing some cracking on the sidewalls.
A few chips and some water staining on the bumper chrome can be seen up front, but the lenses are uncracked and plastic components show only light fading.
The black plastic dash shows none of the common cracking issues, and all gauges and switches are said to be operational. Air conditioning is not ice cold per the seller, and a receipt below shows a recharge of the R12 refrigerant in 2012.A Kenwood CD player replaces the original head unit.
The tan leather upholstery shows light creasing and discoloration.
The 3.3-literM30 inline -six was rated at 194 hp when new and is equipped with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission.The most recent major service occurred in 2013 at 144k miles and included replacement of the water pump, thermostat, bypass hose, fuel rail feeder hose, and engine drive belts. All four shocks and the left tie rod were also replaced at that time. A new front flex disc was installed at 141k miles, though the most recent recorded maintenance in 2013 notes some driveshaft vibration. The most recent documented oil change occurred at 141k miles in 2012.
