An Extremely rare collectors item.. 1 of the final 4 cars manufactured for the U.S. off of BMW UK's assembly line for the year model 1991, this car received an M3 Racing Suspension factory upgrade. (as verified by VIN# research performed by BMW Bentonville Arkansas).. This is an 'all Factory Original Survivor car' (Not Restored).. "Last of the great BMW's" -Car and Driver Magazine.. This Car was researched, developed, designed and Track Proven on the European Rally Racing Circuit and is well known as 'The Ultimate drift racing candidate' -Motor Trend Magazine.. This car was originally purchased in Aug. of '92' right off of the showroom floor at Orange County BMW of Southern California w/4 miles on the odometer (orig. tag & licensing paperwork on hand).. All mileage is freeway and interstate with little to no city driving.. All Original motor and trans. with factory seals intact incl. original factory air flow meter seal. Never driven on ice, snow, salt or dirt/gravel.. Original factory undercoat intact..undercarriage has only been wet a few times due to unavoidable rain events on cross-country commutes.. Always garaged, never weathered, never wrecked.. -minor cosmetic and other issues include; Typical upper surface dash cracks.. Typical small 4" oval-shaped heavy wear area on lower left side drivers seat panel from entering/exiting vehicle,, Factory original floor mats with typical heavy wear on drivers side only. (BMW logo panel needs to be sewn back on -incl).. Fresh Ragtop installed w/new latches, lockdowns and inner support strapping (original BMW top was ordered directly from UK).. Automatic retractable antenna has been removed for straightening/lubrication (needs to be re-installed) -incl.. Cruise control functions normally, but was dis-connected to avoid falling asleep during long commutes (due to cars' extreme driving comfort level).. Air conditioner functions normally (belt currently removed to maximize fuel economy and horsepower -incl.).. Heater control switch works intermittently and needs to be replaced -link incl.. Inside drivers side door latch housing is cracked but functional and needs to be replaced -incl... Small, 3" long windshield crack upper left corner (inexpensive Bosch orig. replacement glass link incl).. 3" dimple on front of right side 1/4 panel (new BMW quarter panel in original packaging incl).. small paint chip on front of rear deck top center tail light (BMW touch-up paint pen in Alpine White incl).. New rear deck spoiler needs to be added if desired (incl.).. Latest Updates; Full front end suspension rebuild and precision tuning.. Over the engine suspension strut bar connects tops of strut towers.. New Bilstein gas racing struts.. New updated heavy duty rear shock mounts.. Fresh 4 wheel racing discs w/ lightweight calipers and pads.. Oversize lightweight racing alloys have been precision rounded and straightened to above BMW Specs. by BMW Bentonville, Arkansas.. New Tires (4) w/ less than 100 mi. (misc. extra tires incl.).. Recent fresh rack and pinion replacement.. Recent fresh gobo (front U-joint) replacement.. Freshly precision tuned all wheel steering alignment.. Fresh ignition system tuning, plugs rotor cap & coil.. Remote start and perimeter sensors w/ pager.. New fuel filter, washable air filter.. always run on highest octane avail, w. upper cylinder lubricant on every tank.. New cam belt (always replaced at 30k), water pump & valve adjustment. This car is a solid investment and an amazing driving experience unlike any other. |
