Description of 1971 BMW 2800CSA

THIS BEAUTIFUL CLASSIC BMW COUPE HAS ONLY TEST MILES SINCE FULL RESTORATION! It has all new paint, leather, carpets, wood, tires, chrome, door and windshield seals, headliner, iPod compatible stereo sound system, and AC upgraded to 134a.
Today it is a rare CSA with automatic transmission for those who want to drive it often, need to drive in traffic and don't want to shift all the time. As it is the price is $55,000.00. But just so you know, if you want more power and prefer to shift, it can be upgraded with either 3.5 or e24 injected motors and 5 speed transmission. This definitely increases the value. A CSA restoration done a couple of years ago with a 3.5 conversion and 5 speed sold recently on BAT for $70k.
So you can buy this beautiful car to use the way it is, or buy it and do the upgrade later. If you want we can assist with the upgrade. I've attached a photo that shows a 3.5 we're installing in a 73 Fjord Blue CSi. Also included is a photo of an e24 power plant, considered the best upgrade you can put in a CS.
Everybody has different needs and things they would like to do. But if you want a beautiful e9, this CSA is a great starting point, maybe to drive as is and upgrade later? Either way you are not just buying a car, you are also making an investment. According to Hemmings and Bloomberg these cars are appreciating in value very quickly now that Porsche 911 values have gone out of sight! The CS has been called the most beautiful coupe that BMW ever built! So if you love this classic style and want an e9 in your garage, here is one of the best you will find.
The attached photos including of the motor and motor compartment show the level of detail in this restoration. We even removed the old insulation around the shock towers, made templates and installed new material. The wheel wells were coated with raptor prior to paint, and the whole underside was also treated for extra protection and sound insulation. This car was restored with a lot of love. We have it on consignment from the client we restored it for. We will of course assist with shipping. Thanks for looking.
