Description of 1986 BMW 3-Series

Had to relist this car a couple of times due to bidders that did not follow through. So, I'm ditching the auction and just listing it for sale - priced to move!

1986 BMW 325 swapped with a Ford 5.0L V8, T-5 manual transmission and fully tunable EFI system. At 2,800lbs, RWD, and V8 it makes a nice drift car also. Runs and drives with no issues. I currently have it registered with a clear title in my name. Priced to move for a quick hassle free transaction.

The factory Ford ECU has been upgraded to a Megasquirt ECU system which allows you to connect any laptop with a serial port directly to the ECU and tune just about every possible engine parameter.

The diff is a 2.93 LSD and the suspension has adjustable coils. The e-brake system was completely rebuild. The interior is in great shape, better than most e30’s out there.Power windows and power mirrors all work.Speedometer works but the tach is not hooked up.I replaced thespeedometerin order to get a working odometer which reads 158k, but the correct mileageis 166kas shown on the title.I am including a Dakota Digital tach conversion box that takes the feed from the ECU and converts it for the BMW tachometer.

What it Needs:This is a project and by no means a show car. It’s going to need tires and the clear coat is peeling in several spots. There is some rust developing in the typical e30 locations like on the lower fenders right behind the front wheels.Neither the heat nor AC are connected currently. For the heat you’ll need to plumb the ford heater hoses to the BMW heater core – this was something that I never got it. All requiredAC lines to connect the Ford compressor to the BMW system are included.
