Specializing in unique cars worldwide, we are proud to have the opportunity to make available this extremely rare and desirable 1988 BMW M3 Coupe. These E30 BMW’s have become very hard to find, as most have become race cars, or are already sitting in people’s collections. This M3 is a great driver quality example, that we have recently spent some time, and money, bringing to an enjoyable, and very respectable state. Carrying a clean carfax, and being recently serviced, we believe this M3 is ready to be enjoyed and owned by someone who is looking to continue carrying the analog BMW torch in today’s digital car world.

Finished in Diamond Schwartz Metallic Black, this M3 as you can see looks absolutely stunning to the eye. Sometime in the late 1990’s the previous owner had the car repainted in this original color, as the car had some fading from parking it outside for some years. Although the paint job wasn’t perfect, it did look very nice, and just needed some TLC to bring the luster and shine out of it. We buffed and polished the paint to it’s current state, and then sealed it with a ceramic coating, leaving an ultra shiny, and ultra protective finish on this amazing M3. The original wheels are in tact, with some blemishes as seen in pictures, but truly a great set of very rare OEM BBS M Wheels. All of the exterior lights are in tact and working. All of the original M3 badges are also in place. As you can see in pictures, this is a very pretty, and remarkably straight M3. There are some scratches/scuffs/wear areas on the car, which I have shown in detail in the pictures below. They have been addressed with touch up paint, to refrain from repainting certain areas. They are very minute, and hard to see, but this ad is meant to be as transparent as possible.

The interior of the car was also preserved and cared for, and it shows. The Black Leather is in tact, and in very good condition for a car of this age. All of the door and dash panels are in tact with no damage, and no sun wear. The seats are still very supple, with minor cracking on the driver’s seat. A two week soak in Mink Oil has fully replenished the leather and made it much softer than any other E30 we have seen. As you can see in the pictures, the interior is 100% stock, and all in working order. No lights on the dash, and no lights in the check box, as everything was addressed to ensure a carefree ownership for the next owner. The AC blows decently cold, and nothing needs to be addressed on the interior. The OEM carpet is in decent condition, but some E30 specific coupe floor mats were recently installed brand new to preserve this aspect of the car.
Mechanically, this car is fully sound, and an absolute JOY to drive. Being all stock except for a stainless steel exhaust system, there is not much like the 4 Cylinder M3 motor. The sound and free revving nature of these cars are what make them so special, and this one doesn’t lack at all in that department! The car shifts perfectly, and the clutch engagement is as it should be. The car stops and turns as it should, with that “loose” 80’s soul that these German muscle cars so proudly possess.
