Description of 1989 BMW 5-Series

Offered at no reserve is my 1989 BMW 525i in Bronzitbeige metallic (sure looks like gold to me). This is an e34 series 5 and one heck of a touring car. If you want to understand why they call BMW the ultimate driving machine. this is a great place to start. In the past four months. I’ve put 3800 miles on her. mostly highway. and she feels like she’ll go forever. When she sells she should have close to 153. 00 miles on the odometer. but you wouldn’t know it when you push down the pedal to do a quick pass. I like to drive world class cars that are high mileage. but have been well maintained. This is one of them. Let’s get the flaws out of the way first. Most noticeable is the paint — the Florida sun has done a number on the top surfaces of the roof and the trunk. The rear panels are also faded. So a respray is in order. It also has the niggling electrical faults common to BMWs of the era. For example. the odometer works just fine. but the digits don’t light. You have to read it by holding a flashlight at an angle to it. The interior has been redone in a two tone black and beige color scheme. It is beginning to show wear in some areas. None of these affect the day to day running of the car. hen I bought the car. I put money into two areas. The first was reliability — I replace the timing belt. water pump. v belts. and hoses and the rotor. The second was comfort — I completely rebuilt the A/C system. including new compressor. new expansion valve. and new receiver dryer. Spent way too much money. but summers in Florida are no fun without a cool. dependable car. Receipts come with the car and are probably more than you will pay for it. As you reel in the miles. you’ll be listening to a modern Clarion stereo the plays CDs and has a front USB port. Simply put your favorite MP3s on a memory stick and listen to your favorites for hours. The only reason I’m selling is I was offered a car on my bucket list and I succumbed to temptation. My town does not look kindly at residences that look like car lots. so something has to go. The BMW comes with a clean Florida title. Bid like you mean it and you’ll be enjoying this future classic soon. No reserve. TERMS: Please read carefully. your bid indicates you have agreed to all of the following. Of course the car is sold AS IS. WHERE IS with absolutely no warranty. It's now in sunny Sebring. just a little over an hour south of Disneyworld. The buyer will have full responsibility for shipping and will drive or trailer it home or arrange for a shipper. A non-refundable deposit of $500 US must be received within 48 hours of the end of the auction. Payment in full must be received within seven calendar days after the close of the auction and must be removed within fourteen calendar days. Bidders with less than a feedback score of ten may have their bid cancelled if they do not send me a message through eBay before bidding. Just tell me that your serious; there's a lot of nonsense going on with car auctions -- witness the number of ones relisted. Also this is an auction. Hate to go all kindergarten on you. but winner agrees to buy the item for the high bid. The winner is not acquiring a right of first refusal. If your thing is to show up. pick every nit you can find and then attempt to renegotiate the price. you will regret making the trip. Check my feedback. I conduct this my dealings honorably and have done so since 1997. Bid with integrity -- Given the rise in dishonorable bidders. I reserve the right to cancel any bid and close the auction early. Your bid indicates that you have read and accepted these terms. Go for it!
