Description of 1988 BMW 3-Series M TECHNIC

NO RESERVE 1988 BMW 325M Mtechnic factory car.

This is a really nice example of a stock low mileage BMW M tech car. It is very rare to find any of these cars in a clean shape low kilometers and Left hand drive. This beautiful BMW has only 131000 kmts= 81900 miles.

The car started life as an automatic therefore the low kmts and the nice and clean state all around. When I imported the car from Japan it was grade 3.5B. the car was resprayed in Japan but it was done right. There are no traces of previous accidents not a single spec of rust in the car no dents and no scratches. The car is being driven often and the paint is not a garage queen perfect but a good quality 9/10. The Mtech kit is all original and in good shape all the inner-fenders and underneath plastic covers are present and not cracked. Tail lights and in good order as well as windows and trim.

As I mentioned before the car was auto and I had it changed to manual. The transmission came from a insurance write off donor car with only 188k kmts. New Sacks clutch kit and new shift gear kit washers from Pelican. At the same time I changed; both front bearings brake pads inner and outer tie rods bilsteins OEM shocks and a reconditioned rack and pinion were fitted. The car drives excellent and it has plenty of power and good acceleration. The throttle is responsive and suspension feels tight. The car has stock high front tires have a small tire wall (195-45-16) compare with the rears(205-55-16) but all tires are almost new. It has Schnitzer 16 inch wheels in good shape stock LSD. There are no leaks and The timing belt was replaced at 102K kmts. I will give all these records to the new owner.

The interior is clean clean to the BMW OEM mats. no cracks in the dash and door panels in excellent shape. The headliner is black like e30 M3’s so there are no weird stains of loose parts. Sunroof locks illuminated shift knob and windows works as they should. A/C and heater works. All lights and electronics are properly working. The Mtechnic front seats were recovered in gray color similar but not the same texture as the rears they look great and if I don’t tell people wouldn’t realize the difference.

All in a great example of a driven BMW. I have had a few classic cars and I can tell this is a great opportunity into getting a car that will go up in value in short time and not much to do other than drive and enjoy. As I mentioned before this is not a garage queen keep in mind this is a 28 year old car so here are the points that require attention or just for FYI:

-There is a coin size paint defect on the passenger fender where it meets the bumper (it was retouched and hard to spot)

-The car has a aftermarket radio I would prefer OEM radio but I will leave that up to the next owner

-This car was not equipped with a cruise control from factory but who needs one when you can shift up and down in this beauty?

-Headlight wipers are not functional.

-Scratches in the front bib.
