Description of 1953 Buick Riviera

I purchased this car from the fellow that did the motor work and most of the restoration. there are a few loose screws here and there and small items that need tweaking and messing with. I purchased the car is 2013 and have driven the car very little. I find that now that the amount of time I have to spend with the car and driving it does not warrant it taking up my garage space. It is truly a nice car and deserves an owner that has time to give the love and care that it needs. I have all of the receipts and material lists from the previous restoration. The paint has a brilliant shine. The interior is very nice, ould use some detail cleaning and miscellaneous tweaking. The wire wheels are perfect as are the Goodyear tires. The numbers matching Nailhead engine rebuilt has less than 600 miles on it. The build included new bearings, 0 over pistons, ings, il pump, erformance cam, iming gears / chain, ifters push rods and valves. It was topped it off with a polished Offenhauser intake, ual Edelbrock 500 CFM Enduroshine carbs, enton valve covers with matching spark plug covers and a Hillbourn style air cleaner.. A new Powergen 90 Amp.alternator. New Pertronix Ignitor ignition & coil. New wires, elts & hoses. The valley cover was chromed and modified to get rid of the old draft tube and replace with a PVC system. The Dynaflow works as it should except there is a small leak noticeable after several weeks of sitting. The side glass is all new with re-chromed frames, new rubber and felts. The chrome front and back is very close to show quality. The only thing the car needs to be fully show quality is the upholstery of the trunk compartment. There are miscellaneous other chrome trim pieces and glass in the trunk that I never touched. The previous owner did win some car show trophies with the car in its present condition. Yep.. there are a few negative items. The speedometer needle broke. ( I use my GPS for a spedo) The clock and radio do not work, or does the cigar lighter. But the really important things like the glove box light and trunk light work just fine..It does not have power steering or power brakes. The brakes are in good shape but could use some adjusting.
