Description of 1968 Buick Other

1968 Buick GS 400 Convertible. 77K Original miles. 1 of 79 Built with the 3 Speed manual top loader transmission with original Hurst shifter and black shift ball. Car has been resprayed in the original V-Code Charcoal. body is straight with no rust but a few minor scuffs and nicks. Bumpers have been re chromed. top and interior are believed to be original with some patina however no tears or cuts. the gauge cluster area could use some restoration. Power steering and top. manual drum brakes. factory consolette with original Buick tach that is functional and accurate with Buick mini console between the bucket seats. The original 400 has been completely torn down and rebuilt within the last 1000 miles. added electric fan keeps the car nice and cool in traffic on warm Florida days. Sunpro gauge set. recent brakes. clutch pack. complete front suspension and new power top motor and well liner. Great BFG Radial TA's on Factory Rally wheels. I am the 4th owner and have enjoyed this car for many years. I know the history and have spoken with the previous owners. car comes with original dealer books and Protect-O-Plate. Car is always garaged and I have been fanatical about maintenence and keeping it in great driving condition. It runs excellent and the 400-4 pulls strong and shifts smooth through the gears. I drive it often and mileage is decent with the original 2:93 non posi rear. steering tracks nice and straight. This is not a 100 point show car but it is a great weekend driver that you can get in drop the top and drive anywhere without worry. always gets compliments and positive comments. In a sea of Chevelle's. "Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?"
