Description of 1968 Buick GS 400 --

STK 2117 1968 Buick GS400 Buick entered the muscle-car fray in 1964 with the GS400 s dressed-up version of the compact Skylark. It was powered by the 401ci Buick nailhead V8. This engine was unique to the Buick line with very small valves and a high lift camshaft. The design had been around in various configurations since 1953. They made a lot of torque but not high RPMs - not exactly a muscle-car engine. In 1967 Buick introduced an entire new line of performance engines. This 1968 GS400 convertible is powered by a matching-numbers 340bhp version of the new 400ci engine backed by a GM three-speed hydramatic. The current owner has had the car for the past 11 years and it has been well cared for. The body was repainted GM Aqua Teal Metallic in 2003 and the original black vinyl interior is in very good condition as is the power operated top. This GS400 came with a lot of standard and optional equipment including: power steering power disc/drum brakes A/C tinted windows tilt wheel and AM/FM/cassette stereo. Nice radial tires are mounted on '92 Camaro alloys with Buick GS center caps - very sharp. This is a luxury performance convertible that will get the job done. Buick advertised a 0-60 time for this car to be just under 7.0 seconds. That's a muscle car. Call 800-650-1055 or visit for additional information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD AS IS.
