Description of 1987 Buick Regal Turbo T pkg

Nice 1987 Buick Turbo Regal with the T package. Many new parts. Car has 91191 original miles original 3.8 liter turbocharged V6 engine, 200 4R 4 speed automatic transmission, and 8.5 10 bolt rear with 3.42 gears and limited slip. Bucket seat car with factory floor shift. Landau vinyl top was recently replaced by previous owner. Has rare factory block heater and power radio antenna.
Car has Weld Draglites but also comes with a set of factory aluminum turbo Buick wheels. I do not have the center caps.
What I have done is as follows. New front and rear crank seals, neoprene Fel Pro seals. Oil pan, and valve cover gaskets. New oil pump pick up screen. New Cloyes double roller timing chain.
New RJC bullet proof head gaskets and ARP head studs. Heads were freshly serviced when I bought the car around a year ago.. Had valve job and new valve springs installed. Heads and intake are gasket matched to stock intake gasket by previous owner.
New T/A Performance drivers side header and crossover pipe. Has 3 inch ATR downpipe and Hooker 2 1/2 inch exhaust system. New exhaust hangar on trans crossmember.
RJC power plate. RJC rocker shaft supports.
Garrett TA-49 turbo rebuilt by Limit Engineering less than a year ago. Replaced vacuum lines on most of engine. New turbo clamps and hoses. Has a GN1 l aluminum radiator. New Turbosmart 38 mm wastegate. New Turbo Smart manual boost controller. New Bosch O2 sensor.
New oil cooler lines installed from Kirban Performance. New radiator hoses.
New Power Master brake unit from Kirban. Long ARP wheel studs installed all the way around.
New Mickey Thompson Drag radials less than 1 year old. 255/60/15s. New aluminum driveshaft from Kirban Performance and Metco drive shaft loop installed.
Car has a Scanmaster and Turbo Tweak chip with 42 lb/hr injectors and a 340 lph Walboro fuel pump with hotwire kit. The Turbo Tweak chip is a 93 octane street chip but is adjustable via the Scanmaster. You can adjust timing and fuel to a certain range.
New digital Auto Meter boost gauge with stand alone 3 bar MAP sensor for gauge. Also has oil pressure and temp gauges.
With C 16 fuel in the car at 23 lbs boost, more timing and fuel, with a 1-2 psi boost launch the car runs 12.02 @112 mph. There is more left in the turbo and the car is capable of running a bit faster. With a looser torque converter or more boost the car should easily run high 11's in the quarter mile.
With 93 octane and 16-18 psi boost safe timing levels it runs lower 13's. Car is totally streetable. Overdive transmission works and shifts great. I did change the trans fluid and filter as well.
Now for the things that still need addressed on the car. The car is nice but not perfect, and it is 30 years old. It has been well cared for but here are the things I noticed that need attention.
Needs upper control arm bushings in front. Has small tear in lower drivers seat. Has one small crack on top of dash. Picture in photo section. Has faded original weather checked paint. Needs new door weatherstripping.
On both sides of car it looks like it has been keyed or scratched by something in the past. It was like this when I bought the car. Also there are pictures in photo section. Buick emblem missing from right rear of trunk lid.
Right rear bumper filler needs replaced. It is cracked but mostly intact still.
Air conditioning currently inoperative. Cruise control not functioning. I think it may be another vacuum line issue in the cruise vacuum lines.
Minor rust at bottom of doors. See photos.
Over all this is a nice solid car that needs minor work to be a very nice ride. It runs and drives great and does not leak fluids. Most of the common Turbo Regal issues have been addressed.
The reserve price is more than fair for this car, it's condition, and the amount of work already done. Car is being sold as is. Thanks for looking!
