Buick Reatta was a limited production luxury sports car, hand-crafted by Buick Division of GM at the Reatta Craft Center in Lansing, Michigan, from 1988 through 1991, Only 305 Reatta convertibles reportedly produced, only 153 offered to the public and 46 more to GM Execs - the 106 remaining unfinished or unsaleable, and offered to Tech Schools, or destroyed. Therefore, only 199 were finished.

New Features for 1991 Model year vs. 1990: Engine upgraded to 170 hp L-27 tuned port OHV 3.8 litre "bullet-proof " V6. Automatic transmission upgraded to the 4T60-E, electronically controlled by the PCM to manage engine power and torque. 16-inch wheels, wider tires, Bosch ABS braking system, revised frame bracing for added rigidity.Twilight Sentinel to control automatic headlamps and exterior lighting, center console cup holder, and power pull-down for convertible top rear bow were also added.
