Description of 1956 Buick Century

1956 Buick Century Estate Wagon. Tahiti Coral & Dover White. 98% original & unmolested. in & out of storage for 30 yrs. Runs & Drives. but currently has no reverse. Odometer shows 58536. pedal wear would indicate that it has turned over. Original interior except for front passenger carpets & replaced black backrest panel on driver’s side of front seat. The worn out & faded carpet in the cargo area & behind the rear seats is the original Gros Point. Rear bench seat is split so 1/3 can be folded down. Had a repaint in the 60’s or 70”s that has faded. the door jambs are original paint & color. This car is pretty much in the same unrestored condition that it was when I purchased it in 1984 except for the following: rebuilt front end. new brakes. rebuilt power brake master cylinder (currently not boosting ) rebuilt carburetor. rebuilt dual action fuel pump. gas tank restored. fuel system cleaned out. New battery. New water pump & hoses. New heater hoses & belts. Replaced power steering pump. Tires have less than 500 miles on them. Otherwise the body seems straight with no traces of bondo that I can find. Gages work. gas gage sticks. might be a bad sender. original radio has a short in it. heater & blower work. clock does not work. Vacuum wipers were working. think bladder needs oiling. Speedometer was disconnected by previous owner. There is an aftermarket power antenna. This is an original & unrestored vehicle that has it’s original exhaust tips. but is missing it’s bumper jack. As is. no warranty. Will keep car & title until money is cleared & in my account.
