Description of 1967 Buick Skylark --

Body off the frame restoration on a rust free car. Factory red with power steering and power brakes upgraded to disc. EXTERIOR: The body and paint really is outstanding. It was super clean to start with and that certainly makes things a lot easier. It is laser straight, all the body gaps are right on the money. It's a factory red car and the new paint is better then the factory put out. It has a polished mirror finish top... to bottom, front to back. Upfront the original grill has been cleaned up and detailed, bumper and the spear on the hood is rechromed. Door handles, Skylark emblems are new. In back the trim on the trunk is original in good shape, the bumper is rechromed. The moldings down the sides of the car are really nice original. Door jambs are painted real nice, bottom of the door is spotless. It has new weather strips, window seals, sill plates, the latches have been cleaned up. The door shuts like a new car. The windshield has been replaced. The black convertible top is only a couple years old, still looks new the rear plastic window is crystal clear. It has chrome GS style wheels, BFG tires and fender skirts to dress it up. The wheels were repainted, the chrome rim shows some age. Tires look new. INTERIOR: The seats have been completely reupholstered using correct reproduction seat covers. It has fold down conter armrest. The side panels are in mint condition. The dash area is very nice looking, the red metal has been repainted. Has new retro Buick stereo and upgraded walnut stereo. Also new carpets and matching embroidered floor mats. The well liner that the top folds into is new. The convertible top boot that snaps over it when it's down is new. The framework on the convertible top has been painted satin black and has new weather strips. Real nice inside this car- visors, mirror, glovebox, seatbelts are all nice. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: I certainly call the motor compartment show quality. Bottom side of the hood it is satin black with new insulation pieces. The firewall, inner fenders and core support is all clean metal with a satin black finish. Shiny new cadium plated brake booster, new master and lines. The 300 motor was inspected and serviced, runs great. Has a clean fresh coat of Buick turquoise paint. All the components look great- brackets, pulleys, alternator, distributor, fan shroud, proper air cleaner etc. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Well it certainly has a big enough trunk. Convertibles leaked in the trunks, therefore rusted. This one has rock solid original metal, no rust or patches. Has a nice coat of spatter finish paint. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb is painted real nice gloss red, new weatherstrip. UNDERSIDE: Wow, it's really nice under this car. I talked to the restorer and he said it was a rust free car. That is also obvious by looking at it. Look at the inner 1/4s and rockers. Look at how clean the floors are. There are not even pits. You can look inside the frame with a flashlight and it's dry metal. The front end is completely rebuilt. Upgraded to disc brakes in front. The bottom of the motor is still spotless. New starter. The original trans is clean looking. In back it has new shocks and fuel tank. Exhaust was replaced like the original. Everything looks proper- emergency brake cables are complete, brake hoses are new, u-joints look new etc. The previous owner says drive it anywhere. He enjoyed it the last couple years since he had it restored with no troubles. I'm still especially impressed with the underside and body, real real nice!
