Only 44 GSXs were made total in 72. Thankfully this is not one of them so it is affordable and useable! I'm thoroughly impressed with this car. It's what I would call a keeper, nothing to apologize for. Dialed in, everything works. Comes with a pile of documentation. EXTERIOR: You can tell immediately that this is an excellent car. The fit and finish is really excellent. It is an all original metal, clean car to begin with from Vegas. The... body panels are absolutely straight. Even along the bottoms it has a mirror reflection of the ground. Body gaps are all square and flush. Professionally repainted to show quality. Polished out like a mirror, I did not see a flaw. It has the full GSX package including correctly laid out and painted stripes, spoilers and emblems. In front it has a really nice, dry shiny original bumper. Grill is excellent, has GSX emblem. Headlight bezels are super clean. Has a functional ram air hood with a working hood tachometer. Windshield is crystal clear, has sport mirrors. In back the bumper is rechromed, excellent rubber strips. The 15 inch Buick mags are in excellent shape with BFG tires. Jambs are painted real nice, bottom of the doors are spotless metal. New window seals, weatherstrips, grommets, etc. This car sits proud, has a great stance. INTERIOR: Meticulous, spotless, however you want to describe it, it's like new. I feel like I'm in a new car. I'm looking at the dash and the whole bezel is new so the chrome sparkles, lenses are crystal clear, gauges are immaculate, clock is quartz movement. The vents are clean, dash pad is mint. Has a tilt column with a new deluxe wheel. Has bucket seats and center console, the console is restored. Interior lights all work. The upholstery, door panels, armrests, headliner, visors look brand new. It has a nice stereo system with built in kick panel speakers and 6x9 rear deck speakers, the original radio is included. Even the window cranks, handles, the little chrome covers under the headrests were replaced. New carpets new and Buick embroidered floor mats. The GSX emblem for the dash was $159. Original seat belts are in excellent shape. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has a complete 1970 455 built to Stage 1 specs. Runs strong, has plenty of torque. Built by Opel, engineering, they specialize in Buick engines. It has been bored and balanced. Has upgraded cam, stainless valves, double roller timing chain. Completely restored 1970 stage 1 carb. Upgraded Pertronix ignition system. Many new correct parts ordered from Buick stores. Clutch fan, dipstick, proper hardware, overflow bottle, rubber radiator insulators. Roller timing chain. Completely restored 1970 Stage 1 carb. This guy really went the extra making it right. Not just universal bits and pieces from the local parts store. He ordered the factory correct parts from around the country. New hinges and springs, Thermo vacuum switch, throttle bracket, heat riser from manifold to air cleaner, dipstick, etc etc. He ordered the correct hardware. Brake booster is cadmium plated, stainless brake lines. Has overflow bottle, squirters are hooked up. Pollution can is even hooked up. Correct clutch fan, shroud and even the plastic strap holding hose to the shroud. New hinges and springs. The air conditioning system has been rebuilt and blows cold. The metal is clean, painted smooth. TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It's no surprise the trunk compartment is also very impressive. Super clean all original metal with a nice coat of trunk paint. It has original quarter panels. The spare is bolted down properly with the lid. Has complete jack with lug wrench. The bottom of the trunk lid is painted as nice as the outside of the car, new jacking instructions decal. The jamb is painted slick, seams are clean with factory spotwelds. UNDERSIDE: Very clean metal, not patched up. The front end was all rebuilt. Has new disc brake conversion. Bottom of motor is clean, new starter. Has flywheel cover. Rebuilt turbo 400 automatic. Rebuilt rear with Auburn posi 3.42 posi. In back it has F41 suspension with boxed control arms and sway bar. New shocks, e-brake is hooked up. Great sounding Pypes fat exhaust system. This car gives me nothing to apologize for. Everything about it is quality, done with pride. Has a great look, tough sound, and has me convinced it will take me anywhere I want to go!
