Description of 1957 Cadillac Eldorado brougham |
| Up for auction today is a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham. Stainless steel roof. rear suicide doors. 7059X body type. Car is originally Chamonix white (paint 112). white leather interior. black mutton carpet (int code 8582). Story behind the car is this: It was owned by a famous car builder since the mid sixties. The car got hit or backed into something on the drivers rear quarter approx 45-50 years ago. The hit was mostly superficial. as it just buckled the rear outer quarter skin. Looks like something caught the edge of the sheetmetal where the tail light mounts. and buckled it up to the rear wheel. I think this quarter would pull out really easy with a power pull. Well. I guess back then these cars werent worth much. and it was used as a donor for another project. so here is whats left. As you can see. its is missing the motor/trans. front clip. seats and alot of trim. Vandals destroyed the glass in the car. Car appears to have the air ride parts intact (switches. bags. brackets. tubing. etc. ) Obviously no compressor or tank or anything. I think there are parts inside the doors (solenoids. etc. ) also. but not really sure everything that came in there. Lots of good bits and pieces. Car has lived its life here in So Cal. so it wasnt subjected to major weather issues. However. sitting outside for 45 years. theres is alot of surface rust. Bottom of the spare tire carrier. trunk lid. and the top of the dash frame are rusted out. Frame looks really nice. Anyway. what you see in the pictures is all I have. If you have any specific questions. feel free to email. I am selling this with a bill of sale only. however. if high bidder wants a title. for 250. 00 more. I can drag it down to DMV and get a clean CA title issued. VIN on frame is visible. and data plate on firewall is there. 1000. 00 deposit due within 24 hrs. full payment due within 3 days unless other arrangements are made ahead of time.
