Description of 1977 Cadillac Eldorado El Deora |
For auction without reserve is a 1977 Cadillac Eldorado with the Eldeora package in very original and unmolested condition. The car runs well and drives like a Cadillac from this era should. The ride is soft. the interior large and luxurious. The 425 c. i. V-8 engine provides plenty of power while acheiving better mileage than the previous 500. The transmission shifts well. brakes and steering are good. The body is straight. with no evidence of accident or rust issues. This Eldorado is nicely optioned with climate control. AM/FM 8-track. moonroof and full power. The red leather interior is plush and in decent overall condition. 1977 was Cadillac's 75th Anniversary. and would be one of the biggest years for change in the division's history. Every single standard car was redesigned. restyled. and reconfigured to meet the demands of the time. Consumers were looking for smaller. more fuel efficient cars. but didn't want to give up any of the interior room. luxuries. or amenities to which they were accustomed. And Cadillac met those needs. When compared to the 1976 models. the new 1977 Cadillacs were eight to 12 inches shorter overall. and the new bodies were 3. 5 inches narrower. but sacrificed virtually nothing when it came to interior space. The average weight reduction per car came in at more than 950 pounds. Computers were used to create designs that would reduce weight while maintaining a strong body. and new lightweight materials were substituted wherever possible. The El Deora was an upscale aftermarket treatment. features of which included thechrome Rolls Royce-style grille. nbsp; padded top and door saddles. opera windows. landau bars. 1942 Cadillac chrome "flying lady" hood ornament and the continental-style spare tire trunk lid. These were limited edition cars. and not many remain as viable driver-quality cars. For additional information contact Jerry at (310) 980-9175.
