My starting bid and buy it now is VERY fair.These 71-72 Eldorados Convertibles are very hard to find, much less for this kinda of price.Act Fast because once the first bid is placed the Buy it Now is gone and the car will sell to the last highest bidder only on ebay. This is a auction for one 1971 Cadillac Eldorado convertible,it will be sold AS IS!! The car is a 2 door 71 Cadillac Eldo Convertible.This was a very nice car a few years ago and unfortunately the previous owners family just let the car sit in the weather with a old tarp over it for about 3 years that leaked.I have owned it for the past 2 years and it has just set under my shed.I have too many projects and not any extra time, so I am selling it and thinning the herd. Overall the car is still very solid and straight.Bumpers and chrome is still decent and everything is present.The front drivers side marker light is busted.Other than a few small chips and a scrape dent on the passenger side quarter the paint is still nice and has a good shine.I believe you could fix that dent and repaint the quarter and live with it.The doors open and shut great.The power windows still work along with the power top,which will need replacing.The power seat tries to work but the tracks will need greasing.The Dash is perfect with NO cracks.Door panels are salvageable and the seats are intact, but will need new covers.The floors do have some rust from water leaking into the car thru the old tarp and bad top.They are not real bad at all and since they are flat they will be easy to fix.This is a southern car so the body and frame are in great shape.I do not see any rust on the body.There is some rust in the trunk floor from a rodent nest under the spare tire It looks like it could be easily patched also.The 500 ci engine has been rebuilt at one time and has a re-manufactured tag on it.(see photos). I have never cranked the car since I have had it.I was told it ran great until it was parked due to the last owners passing.It has not run in about 5 years.The wires to the starter are damaged from the aforementioned rodent along with a few wires on the top of the engine but the main harness is not hurt.All the lights on the dash light up and as stated earlier the top,windows work.Also all the lights and turn signals still work.The radiator is a newer aluminum one and it is full of green antifreeze.The trans fluid is clean and the engine is full of oil and will turn by hand.The brakes seem to work and stop the car.The tires are still decent and all hold air fine.All the hubcaps are with the car.The car rolls and steers.There is a NEW auto sound radio on the back seat, but it has been wet and may be good just for parts. Once the first bid is made the buy it now will be gone and the car will sell to the last highest bidder.The Buy it now is a bargain for a solid Cadillac Eldorado rag top.
