Description of 1959 Cadillac DeVille |
I’m listing my 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille. If your looking for a 59 caddy that is fun to drive and wins trophy’s and gets a lot of attention then this is it. This car has an original 390 and ultramatic transmission. The car has a 20 yr old restoration on it. She is not perfect but she runs like a champ. I’ve driven this car to shows all over the Midwest, Iron Invasion, Jalopyfest and Vintage Torquefest in Iowa with out mechanical issue. I drive this car as much as I can cause it’s meant to be driven. It gets a lot of looks and compliments wherever I go. The chrome is still in great shape. The paint is not perfect but good enough for car shows (collected13 trophies in the last 3 years). It has some rust underneath, but the frame is solid. The floor pans have been previously been replaced before I owned it. The car came out of Indiana when I got it and has a clear title. New chrome wheels and radial white wall tires, functional lake pipes (sounds great!). Do not need to sell, just thought I’d post it up and see. Things that I have fixed/repaired/replaced: -Exhaust (lake pipes) functional -chrome wheels & radial tires (still have original hubcaps) -new fog lense/turn signal lense -repop factory floor mats front and rear -all new shocks last year -new front end suspension kit -fixed temp gauge -fixed radio -rebuilt starter -new brake shoes (last year) -twice a year brake adjustments -yearly tune up (except this season) plugs, cap rotor, carb clean and adjustment etc -oil changed about every 2500 Miles (odometer doesn’t work but I logged mileage for oil change and tune up intervals) -new rubber trunk liner kit (not installed yet) -nos neutral safety switch -pinstriped by famous Dave Walters (Joliet, IL) -headlight tri-bar covers -spare ultramatic transmission (was told works, but should rebuild) Chrome is still great, interior is clean. |
