Description of 1956 Cadillac DeVille

1956 Cadillac DeVille Sedan. This is all original and a PROJECT vehicle. This is an awesome opportunity for someone to restore this DeVille and it is about 99% complete and original but taking in consideration that ( from I know) last time it being registered back in 1973 (let me help you do the math, 47 years ago, almost half a century) it is in a great shape.I’ve started and drove around a block maybe four or five years ago and done some driving on the trailer and off when moved a couple of years ago.Besides that it’s 64 years old unrestored and original, one main thing I have to point out, fuel pump needs to be replaced or repaired. Basically, fuel pump valve doesn’t hold fuel in the system and it runs back into fuel tank once engine is off. I’ve done some tests pressurizing fuel system and no leaks, therefore I do believe it is the pump. P.S. if I prime it with electric fuel pump after sitting for a while, it will run on its own fuel pump.Interior is in great shape as well, a few minor details that needed to be addressed and front driver seat has some cracks in fabric from age.As far as body, it’s fairly solid. Ok, don’t get me wrong, we’re talking about over half a century old vehicle that survived weather, politics, Cold War, inflations and what not. Therefore, the only corrosion I’ve noticed are in the pictures. Passenger lower rear quarter panel and driver side rear bumper. This vehicle hasn’t being washed or detailed in years, three is a lot of cob web and dust and what not, you get the picture.Bid only if you fully understand what you’re buying or ask questions way before you put any bids on it. Don’t assume anything, ask!!!!I’m not a dealer and for the love of car, bought it years ago with serious intentions of restoring it but things have changed and I lost interest.Original title got lost or stolen (from me), therefore, bill of sale will be provided without title itself.Buyer is responsible for shipping expenses and arrangement. This is NO RESERVE auction and highest bidder will take it home, therefore bid responsibly and don’t assume anything, ask questions before bidding.
