Description of 1976 Cadillac Seville Compact sedan

Cadillac Seville 1976 The "compact" Cadillacs we simply cant help but love This is an amazingly beautiful condition Cadillac Seville whose immaculate and original presentation simply defies its mileage. It is a 2 previous owner car. always garage kept and a true credit to its owners for the loving and caring ownership given to her. She is finished in "Amberlite Firemist" (bronze metallic) and "Antique Light Buckskin" (tan) leather interior. It has its all original body. paint and chrome. All in excellent original condition and great presentation. The paint is mostly original with absolutely no signs of accident damage. There are some very minor imperfections here and there (eg; chip on drivers door and pin stripe) but the finish presents very well with a good shine. There is no rust in the body panels but for a bubble spot where the rear quarter meets the vinyl top and on the driver side A pillar under the vinyl. Irrespective. it does present extremely well. It is currently part of a private collection and as such is professionally stored in a climate controlled showroom. The leather interior is simply perfect without any signs of wear. marks. scratches or blemishes of any kind. The headlining is like new without any of the typical sagging of the fabric often seen on these cars. All finishes. chrome. faux wood. steering wheel and carpets present beautifully. It is truly very nice and sumptuously inviting. Even the steering column near the key. where it is normally scratched from even modest use. is entirely blemish free and looks like new. It was the virtual "new appearance" of the inside of the car that really attracted me when I bought her. She comes with her original Cadillac trunk floor mat. Everything works as it should – electric windows. seats. aerial. cruise control. auto & delay headlights. gauges and instruments. Heater blows toasty and A/C is ice cold. (You will see in the pictures the rear view mirror is not attached. The mounting tab was glued at the time of the photographs. The mirror is now installed. ) Mechanically excellent with no oil leaks or exhaust leaks. Simply. an ultra-smooth highway cruiser that fires up first time. every time. You drive this car over the roughest of roads. or even a railway line. and it will glide over them better than any car of its era. She is simply amazing. With near new battery and tyres she is just great to drive. You won’t find a better priced semi-classic cruiser with all the creature comforts to drive this summer! She is STUNNING! The cars shows a stunningly low 8. 00 miles which matches the condition of the car in many ways. However. this is an extraordinarily low number and without history to support it I would not be so bold to guarantee that. Having said that. I do not believe the car has clocked over either. The car has the hallmarks and looks of a low mileage example. ~~ A stunning example of the compact Seville. A true 70s icon that would sit well in any car collection. ~~ Cadillac Seville 1975-79: WikipediaThe Seville. introduced in May 1975. was Cadillac's answer to the rising popularity of luxury imports in the U. S. from Europe. such as Mercedes Benz and BMW. GM planners were becoming concerned that the division's once-vaunted image as "The standard of the world" was fading as the 1970s unfolded. especially among the younger generation of car buyers. Thus. the Seville was designed with the idea of winning back young import owners. Over time they had evolved. becoming quite luxurious and even more expensive than the much larger Cadillacs. As the market share of these imports continued to climb. it became obvious that the traditional American automotive paradigm of "bigger equals better" was no longer in full effect in the marketplace. The Seville became the smallest and most expensive model in the lineup. turning Cadillac's traditional marketing and pricing strategy upside down. In addition. imports were popular with a younger audience while Cadillac buyers were heavily slanted to the over-50 age group. The Seville was thus part of an attempt to rejuvenate the make's image. I am not a main-stream retail car dealer or broker; I am a professional car collector of some 30 years with considerable experience and knowledge of predominantly British cars. I simply love excellent condition cars of a wide variety and simply love cars! I take a lot of pride in my cars and have fun in collecting and restoring them. However. auctions are not a game so when you place a bid or offer. and you are the winning bidder. please understand you have entered a binding contract. You cannot bid and win the auction and expect not to meet the terms and conditions. Bidding and/or winning does not mean you are expecting me to “hold” the car until you have the opportunity to inspect it. Any inspection contemplated should be undertaken BEFORE you bid or make an offer and I openly welcome any potential buyer to come and personally inspect the car. Once you bid or make an offer. you are doing so to buy WITHOUT conditions. A $1000. 00 deposit (non-refundable) is required within 24 hours of the close of the auction and payable by PayPal. The balance of funds are required within 7 days of the close of the auction and must be provided by cashier’s check or bank wire. I cannot accept PayPal for the balance unless you are willing to meet the cost of transfer fees. Full payment must be made (and payments cleared) before the title and/or the vehicle is released. All payments are non-refundable. Payments as described above form an important part of this purchase contract and so. if all the funds are not received as outlined above. I reserve the right to terminate the transaction without notice. If there has been any deposit or other part payments received and I elect to terminate the contract. I reserve the right to keep any such deposits or payments and resell the vehicle to another bidder or interested party or re-list the vehicle at any time. I am happy to assist with shipping arrangements on a national and worldwide basis but the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping and at his cost. As a collector and experienced restorer of a variety of cars. I make every effort to bring my cars to a very high standard. Unless specifically stated. the car is not of show standard but of good quality "driver" condition. Please understand. the very nature of any classic car of any kind is such that it is not always possible to attend to every single item. or perhaps I may have inadvertently overlooked an item. Please note. fitted radio/stereo systems are usually subject to upgrade by purchasers so I do not ensure operation of these but simply keep the "original look". Further. a feature or function that is working perfectly one moment. may decide to play-up the next. After all. it is some 30 years old. For this reason it is necessary for the following condition: The vehicle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed. written or implied. Any descriptions or representations are made with reasonable judgment and all efforts are made to ensure fair assessment and accuracy but they are for descriptive and identification purposes only and are not to be construed as a warranty of any type. The seller shall not be responsible for errors in description. authenticity. genuineness. or defects herein and makes no warranty in connection therewith. No allowance or set aside will be made on account of any incorrectness. unforeseen imperfection. defect or damage. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have satisfied himself as to the condition and value and to bid based upon that judgment solely. The seller shall and will make every reasonable effort to disclose any known defects at the buyer’s request prior to the close of the auction. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs regardless of any oral statements about the vehicle. Being a classic car in excess of 10 years of age. in most US states. the mileage may be recorded as “exempt”. In this regard the seller makes no warranties as to the accuracy of the mileage indicated or shown. I can hold the vehicle up to 30 days while you arrange shipping but you must immediately insure it. I will not bear any responsibility for any additional costs including storage. transportation. or repair after the close of the auction. Whereas I am happy to store the car in excess of 30 days from auction end. a cost of $35 per day shall apply beyond 30 days of auction end. Also. you must remember that this is a classic +/-30 year old vehicle. and while it is up to you. I do not recommend that you just “hop in and drive it across the country”. At least. I have never done that. I have always professionally transported the cars in enclosed carriers from where I bought them to my home. PLEASE; IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS. nbsp;DO NOT BID AS. RESPECTFULLY. THERE CAN BE NO EXCEPTIONS.
