Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Yenko

Stuffing a big block V8 into just about anything is guaranteed to make for an entertaining ride, ut when it's a 1969 Camaro and you dress it up like an all-conquering Yenko, hen you've really got something special. Built with an eye towards maximum performance, his Yenko tribute is a great-looking representation of one of the most potent muscle cars of all time.We don't have room to go into the Don Yenko story here, ut suffice to say that his creations are some of the most treasured of all '60s performance machines. But without a half-million or so dollars to spare, ou've probably decided that you'll never have one. Well, ere's your chance to pick up a beautifully finished Camaro that will run with some seriously fast hardware. You won't sneak around, hanks to the bright Daytona Yellow paint job and black Yenko graphics, ut you can rest assured that every eye will be on you as you roll into the local cruise night parking lot. The guys with the fast cars will look away, ecause they know that cars like this hand out beatings on a regular basis, nd the exhaust note will tell them this one is more than just a pretty face. With a cowl induction hood and a ducktail spoiler, t looks the part, ut far more importantly, t can back it up. It's also got the proper Yenko badges, ice chrome bumpers, chin spoiler, nd all the other little things that make these cars look so right.GM's houndstooth buckets are some of the most stylish of the era, nd those in this coupe have been fully restored to as-new condition. The sYc decals on the headrests (yes, hat's how Yenko did it) are gray to tie it all together, nd the execution is just like they would have done it in '69. There's no weight-adding center console, ust an industrial-strength 4-speed shifter sticking out of the transmission tunnel. The original gauges cover the basics, long with a low-mounted tachometer and a pair of auxiliary gauges ahead of the shifter. New carpets, resh door panels, nd a taut headliner are all expertly installed, nd someone has even seen fit to keep the original AM radio in the dash. The tidy trunk offers a fresh trunk mat, ut precious little else to dull performance. But the real reason you want this Yenko is under the hood: a giant tire-shredding 454 cubic inch V8. Rebuilt to correct L72 427/425 specs and dressed in period duds, t wears Chevy Orange, hrome, nd shreds rubber like few other powerplants can. Yenko decals have been fitted to the chrome big block valve covers, nd details like the hoses and clamps are authentic reproductions. Long-tube headers were a common addition back in the day, nd on this car they exhale through a reproduction dual exhaust system that sounds right without being too aggressive. Floors are spotless, nd the heavy-duty 12-bolt rear is up to the task of planting the power. Period-correct Torque Thrust wheels wear 235/60/15 BFG radials that fill the wheel wells just right.Someone has already invested heavily in this car's build, nd it would probably be impossible to duplicate for the asking price.
