Description of 1957 Chevrolet Corvette

For your consideration is a beautiful 1957 Corvette equipped with the283 cu. in. 250 hp "fuelie" engine (RPO 579C - 102 produced) and 3 speed manual transmission. The block and heads are correct castings with date codes that correspond correctly to the build date of the car. The block has a blank pad, hich means it was probably machined and not re-stamped duringa previous restoration/rebuild. This car has had an older restoration and still appears very nice with gorgeous paint, right work and interior. She performs very nicely and starts, uns, rives and stops as it should.A newconvertible top was recently professionally installed. This is not a 100 point show car, ut would be an excellent candidate for taking one to "the next level". It is a beautiful driver and would be right at home at the local car show or cruise night with no excuses and no apologies required! This Venetian Red beauty has a lot of integrity with a crisp, ust-free chassis and fiberglass that has all original bonding strips intact. There is no evidence of body damage or repairs whatsoever. Even the clock works! Hard to believe to be 58 years old! There were only 6,339 Corvettes produced in 1957, nd most examples not falling into the project category are bringing six figures. This car is priced well below that to allow someone the opportunity to enjoy one of the most iconic automobiles ever produced without breaking the bank, r it leaves room for the serious collector/restorer to take it the ultimate level. We have described this car as honestly and accurately as possible. It is offered as-is, here-is with no warranty expressed or implied. We urge potential bidders to fly in to beautiful Lexington,Kentuckyand inspect in person (or fly in and drive it home!), r you are welcome to hire an appraiser to look the car over. A $1,000 deposit is due within 48 hours of the auction end, ith payment in full due upon pickup. Delivery is the responsibility of the buyer, ut we can recommend a transporter and assist with loading. Feel free to ask any questions and we will do our best to answer them.
