Description of 1969 Chevrolet Camaro

1969 CAMARO 327 “#’s MATCHING SURVIVOR” Own an untouched 1969 Camaro with Investment Grade quality. Exceptionally clean survivor. Turn the key and just enjoy the ride. Details below. Bid with confidence!

ENGINE

-Numbers Matching 327 engine 2 BBL Carb. Starts every time and really growls with the dual exhaust. 82000 original miles on this factory engine. Column shift automatic factory transmission. Original front and rear drum brakes. I drive this beauty at least once a week and have never had problems except for one time I had to put in a new Holley fuel injector.

EXTERIOR

-Beautiful original paint. Factory color “Fathom Green.” This car has been garage kept since the Nixon Administration and the factory paint is nearly perfect. There are approx 10 places where the paint has flaked off the body. These flake spots are about 2 millimeters in diameter and occur where there are seams (ie between the hood and body between the back windshield and body etc…) There is 1 spot where the paint is slightly bubbled it is 3 inches long and ¼ inch wide on the back right of the trunk space. That is all.

-The body holds up to the magnet test (ie. NO BONDO!) all original metal. No major dents or dings. Minor ding on driver side door when the light catches it just right but otherwise imperceptible. All original chrome is shiny. No dents or scratches on the chrome bumper. The chrome fender has no dents but does have a couple of small scratches on the top. The wheel wells trunk pan and floor pans are all solid.

-Chrome wheels look nice but aren’t original. Plenty of tread on all tires.

The Bad is the rust holes on the rear valance panel below the trunk. Included in this auction is the factory correct rear valance panel from Year 1 just needs to be installed. Also both side rocker panels below the door are rusted on both sides. The replacement rocker panels from Year 1 are included as well just needs to be installed.

INTERIOR

Everything is original except where specifically noted. Factory interior color “Medium Green.”

-Driver side bucket seat original. 2 inch tear in the lower back area. 4 inch seam has come apart in the left shoulder area. Some color fading on the left side of the driver headrest. Passenger side bucket seat original with no rips. Passenger headrest show some color fading on the right side. Back seat perfect condition no tears or fading. All original seat belts work fine.

-Dash pad is original with no cracks or tears. Dashboard has no rust or holes. Radio is aftermarket designed to look like a factory 69 Camaro radio. All original speakers have been replaced with Cerwin-Vega’s. Headliner is tight but has a couple of mildew spots. All original carpet with minor wear spots.

-All door and window handles function properly. Both doors open and shut properly. Back windows tend to get stuck when in the down position which is a common design defect to all Camaros from that era. Just your hand to help guide the window back up. All glass is completely intact with no cracks except the rear view mirror has a crack on the left hand side running from top to bottom. There is only 1 side mirror located on the passenger side. All door vinyl is in good condition with no tears except both driver and passenger armrests show wear. Rubber gaskets on driver side are in good condition but window gaskets on the passenger side are deteriorating. All areas around the door jamb are in good condition except for one rust spot under the passenger door (as shown in picture).

-All dials instruments and electronics work. Windshield wiper motor works fine but needs to be replaced with new wipers.
