Description of 1940 Chevrolet Other Pickups

Patina'd out oldschool PREWAR Chevy truck. 1940 CA plates. Runs and drives. it features a 5" dropped axle. redone drum brake system. new clutch/flywheel. The paint job is mostly surface rust but has a few minor holes for instance on the bed sides. The cab is REALLY solid. The is very much in its original condition other than the lowering of the truck. and a Mexican blanket used for temporary seat upholstery. 4 speed trans works as it should with fresh GL-4 fluid and same for the differential. Front safari window works flawlessly. Remnants of the original bed floor are there. It also features a Rebuilt 1957 235. with 60's long tube headers and 1 3/4 straight pipes. Raspberry HEAVEN!!! single Rochester carburetor. The fuel tank has been sealed and does not leak. NOS gas gauge and Temp gauge work. Oil pressure gauge is not hooked up. Drives like a bat outta' hell all the way to a whopping 55 mph. I've completed most of the hard work on this truck. It will just take a little more work to make it your own. Overall it would make a awesome shop truck. Not too many of these around. Thanks for looking. LOW RESERVE!!!
