1969 CHEVELLE SS MONOCO ORANGE Trim Tag Reads as Follows: ST69 13637 BAL228123 BDY TR 791 72 E PNT 04A B LI55731 Breakdown: 1969 Sports Coupe Built in Baltimore Maryland Trim - Interior -Parchment with black carpets. Exterior Color - Mononco Orange / Parchment vinyl roof. Built the first week of April. This Chevelle SS is exactly as it was ordered from from the factory. According to Chevelle Stuff. com :Q: I have a Hugger Orange 1969 Chevelle. Is it a true SS?A: If. and only if. the Fisher Body Number tag shows a paint code of 72. nbsp;you can be assured it is a true SS-optioned 1969 Chevelle. Also: According to Team Chevelle. the only colors available in 1969 for the Chevelle SS are "Monaco Orange" (code 72) and "Daytona Yellow" (code 73). These codes must appear on the trim or "cowl" tag to be genuine. The trim tag itself must also be genuine. The original 396 motor has been replaced with a GM crate 454/425 h. p. Motor. The previous owner built it up with Reher Morrison Performance heads coupled with a nice mild cam. 6 quart oil pan. delbrock intake. Hedman headers. dual exhaust and an electric fuel pump. Now rated just north of 450 h. p. running on pump gas. All receipts for work done in a folder which will accompany car with sale. This Chevelle SS is equipt with the F 41 suspension-including solid control arms. 12 bolt post rear end / 391 gears and of course a newly rebuilt Munci 4 speed. Also replaced when motor was purchased where the clutch/ pressure plate/ and through out bearing. All of the above have approximately 1200 miles on them. Power steering / Power Disc Brakes in the front from the factory. Car drives straight no shakes or shimmies-Front end alignment recently done. The paint is great and still has a fantastic shine. I would guess it was painted 8-9 years ago. No rust on this car. couple of chips as to be expected. Roof is in excellent shape with no bubbling or signs of and rust or lifting under vinyl. No patches on floor pans and trunk pan is exceptionally clean. Gaps are factory correct. This is a Florida car and the under carriage is evidence of this. Clean!!! Parchment Interior is in excellent condition. New After Market Stereo System. Previous owner added white faces on Speedometer and Gas gauges. and under dash Photom Fuel/Temp/Oil Pressure package . looks Great! Car sports Factory SS rims and 14" TA RADIALS for a smooth ride.
