Radio Delete 1961 Corvette Convertible. This is a California car spending some time here on the east coast. but grew up on the west coast. This exceptional Corvette was a Purposed order Corvette to do one thing in 1961. and that’s to go fast. Something like a radio had no business being inside the cockpit of this awe inspiring Corvette. Under the hood this car has been restored back to factory specs. The Rochester fuel injection unit is complete with the air cleaner. The #’s matching engine is the 283ci/315hp CS code engine. You’ll notice there is no shielding over the distributer and that’s because there is no radio in the car. The black interior is in excellent condition and the pictures tell the story. The body is original in very good condition. The doors. hood. deck lid. and trunk lid all have a good fit and finish. The Ermine White paint looks great with the silver coves and brand new black convertible soft top. The brand new wide white tires set off the exterior of this car. All the stainless steel trim is clean and straight. The chrome bumpers are original and are in excellent condition. Inside the trunk are the original jack tools and the original spare tire! These items are rare to find with any old straight axel Corvette. The trunk board is original and the trunk liner and mat are not original. The frame is a clean straight frame. The frame is what you would expect to see under a California car including clean original floorboards. There is an all new exhaust system on the car. This Corvette is fully function. all the gauges work and work good. the wipers work. the head lights. tail lights. and turn signals work. The engine runs strong. The previous owner had the engine and fuel injection unit completely rebuilt along with the 4-speed manual transmission.
