Description of 1952 Chevrolet Other Pickups

Up for auction is my 1952 Chevy pickup 3 window that has been fitted with a 265 V8 small block taken from a 1956 Chevy truck. I have owned the truck for 3 years and have driven it daily ever since putting 11,000 miles on it since purchasing it. Aside from the engine and wider wheels and tires, he truck is basically stock. I upgraded to electronic ignition and converted from single circuit brakes to dual circuit brakes for safety reasons. I was told by the previous owner that the rear end is out of a '56 V8 bel-air but I never confirmed it. The gear ratios allow for comfortable driving at 65-70 mph and the V8 has plenty of power. I've taken this truck as far as los angeles from San Jose without any issues.
Body:-The truck is nearly completely rust free and pretty straight, lthough there is some cancer forming in the front corners of the cab. Nothing major.-For whatever reason the previous owner bolted on some patch panels to the splash guards near the aft end of the running boards.-Some steel plates were welded to the top corners of the bed for reinforcement by the previous owner.-The inner skin of the doors were cut for speakers that were installed.-One of the mounting tabs of the front splash guard that mounts to the bumper cracked so i removed the splash guard as a result of excessive rattling. the splash guard and the broken mounting bracket comes with the truck.-The rear bumper appears to be homemade, lthough it is fairly nice. I did notreceivethe stock bumper when i bought the car.-Some gas leaked out of the gas cap and ate the paint on the passenger rear corner of the cab. The gas cap has been replaced.-Overall the paint is not great, ut looks good from 10-15 feet away.-The rear edge of the hood was bent by the previous owner when he opened it against the spotlight.-the wood in the bed is in OK shape-definitelyusablecondition.
Engine:-The 265 engine runs great and the stock transmission shifts smooth. I never felt the need or had the desire to change either of them. This truck is not a hot rod, ut it has a plenty of power to keep up with modern traffic.-The engine doesn't burn oil, ut it does leak. I typically have to add a quart every 300-400 miles of driving-The truck gets around 16 mpg on the freeway and 13 mpg in town.
Brakes:-The truck has the stock drum brakes actuated by a modern dual circuit master cylinder. Honestly the truck stops great and I don't think changing to disc brakes in the front would create any benefit. the drum brakes have been fine, ven in crazy bay area traffic.-Emergency brake works great.
Interior:-the seat is in exceptional shape and there are no tears in the leather-the floor mats have some tears and holes in it-all of the interior electrics and gauges work perfectly-overall the interior is in great shape
This is just a good solid, trong running driver that will never leave you stranded. With some cash and TLC it could be a good start towards a 50,000 show truck.
