Description of 1984 Chevrolet Blazer

1984 M1009 CUCV K5 Blazer 6.2 Diesel.
This vehicle has had so much excellent, rofessional work done to it in the last year, don't know where to start. I could very easily say, too much to list", s most of these postings do but, I will hit the highlights and the current problems with the truck.
One major upgrade was the new Monster Transmission 700R4 rated at 750hp/750tq which obviously adds a fourth gear, s still strong enough to handle anything thrown at it and drastically improved the MPG. It also received a brand new monster NP208 transfer case to go with it, ated for 750hp/750tq. It has an SSBC 4 wheel disc brake conversion, ross drilled/slotted 12 inch front rotors and 4 piston calipers. Needless to say, his thing stops as well as any modern vehicle, uch better than any other K5 Blazer for sure. The 22 gallon steel fuel tank was removed and upgraded to a 31 gallon Raybuck polyethylene fuel tank with a brand new sending unit, ines and all hardware. This obviously added a greater range to the truck BUT, akes it impossible for any algae or biologicals to grow or exist in the fuel, hich can be a problem for diesel vehicles. It also make the use of BioDiesel an everyday possibility as the biological nature of biodiesel will never have a harmful effect on this fuel system. It has brand new rims and rubber on all four corners, rand new as in less than 100 miles on everything. It also has energy suspension polyurethane bushings on all suspension components on all four corners, ides amazing. There were interior upgrades as well. Competition 13 inch leather and steel steering wheel. 12 way, eather, eated, ower seats from a Cadillac Escalade and yes, eat and power all work, ill be especially nice this winter. I also added a 1000 watt block heater, hich these never came with but, akes the life of this powertrain much easier and gives longevity, lus having instant heat in the winter is nice. Almost all of the restoration parts came from LMC truck, o include black matching cup holders, ounds trivial but, up holders go along way in a truck like this. No need to worry about going thirsty or spilling coffee on these brand new seats, MC cup holders installed as well.
The final highlight of this vehicle would be the fact that the entire truck, owertrain and all, nly have 17,000 original miles on them, are to be sure. The newest components added and previously listed, ave approximately 1500 miles on them total. This is not just low miles but, solid, ust free, o filler, o bondo, o patches what so ever, ody, rame and chassis. This vehicle is currently in Cleveland, hio but was originally from California and was a Department of Energy runner vehicle. Was never abused, as never seen salt and is why the miles are so low and the truck rock solid.
There are some issues that any truck this old, hat is a project vehicle, ill have. There are some minor fluid leaks. Nothing major and each will still be addressed as long as this vehicle is for sale, onstantly improving this truck. It could use door latches and the tailgate latch BUT, ach work great, was just planning on replacing them to freshen it up. The rear window motor doesn't work but, gain, ot a necessity, was planning on replacing it though, ove the rear power window. The dash is cracked and sun baked terribly but, have the new dash, ust haven't installed it yet.
Ultimately, looked for this truck, r one in this condition, or approximately two years before I found this awesome example. To say I love this truck and that it is my favourite, s an under statement. It truly pains me to list it for auction/sale, just don't have the time to continue this project. It is rock solid reliable, tarts every time and I would drive it to the moon and back without any worries. Hate to even think about letting this truck go but, am certain who ever is reading this listing knows how great CUCV's are and it will find a great new home. Whether you stay Diesel Power or have any other plans for a truly unique 4X4, ou will not find a better example of a K5 Blazer project than this.
Currently available for local pick up or shipping from the western Cleveland suburbs, appy to help arrange any logistics necessary for delivery. This vehicle is being sold as is with a clear Ohio Title. All sales final, o warranties express or implied BUT, have tons of extra parts, hings I have not installed yet, hich are included in this auction/sale. This also includes the entire library of catalogues, ebsites and technical support bases I have developed.
