Click above arrow for video of 1946 Chevy 1/2 ton survivor running and driving!!!! ( if doesnt work, ry watching on non mobile device like home pc)

This 1946 Chevy 1/2 ton survivor truck was owned in central iowa by the previous owner who had plans to get it running and use it as a daily driver after he inherited it around 10 years ago. He added diesel fuel to the cylinders while it was in storage to keep the engine free. He never found the time or money to get to it so he sold it to me.

After trailering it back to our shop, e did a complete tune up, ncluding points plugs condensor, ebuilt brake master cylinder. We put new front brake lines on the truck(rears not hooked up). The truck has four brand new tires with trim rings and hub caps. the spare is the wrong size wheel, five bolt instead of six) the box is original and has the original wood in it as pictured. it has a gmc tailgate on it (same as chevy). The gas tank was not cleaned out so I am running off a aux tank in the cab. the wire harness is the original and weathered and should be replace, asy replacment jim carter trucks ($230) I put a 12 volt battery and coil in and bypassed the wireharness. if you wish to leave it a 6volt system, ou would go back to a 6 volt coil and 6 volt battery.

The headliner is the original headliner still in the truck and in great shape as pictured. It still has the windshield wiper and the windshield still cranks in and out.The cowl vent also goes in and out. The glass is all there but the windshield and rear window have cracks (easy replacment jim carter trucks 30-50 $ precut). Both door glass is good and the windows go up and down. The doors open and shut the way they should and the tailgate goes up and down the way it should.

As the video shows, he trucks drives 40-50 mph and shifts all the gears the way a 46 chevy truck should. the truck never overheated the 30 minutes or so we had it running. the truck stops good with the front brakes. the engine smokes once in a while, believe it is from the diesel fuel used to keep it lubed up while in storage and needs to burn off.The truck fires right up with the key on, hoke out, ush the floor starter button. The plate topper is not included in sale. the vin plate and title match numbers and it is a clean and clear iowa title ready for you to register.this is not a restored truck but a great and solid survior that you can have a blast with driving while taking it to the next level. I am guessing the paint is over 20 years old. It is all steel and the fenders did have some dings and dents (see pics)I pictured and videoed any spot I saw cosmetically, small rust spot quarter size on rear tailgate brace, ent in back right of cab etc). make sure to check out the pics and video to get a accurate idea of the solid shape this is!the floor is solid and the cab is very solid. Let the pics and video tell the story of this survivor truck. As everybodys idea of what a survivor classic truck should be is different, recommend that you come to inspect the truck or hire ebay to do a independant inspction for you before placing a bid. I require a 500 dollar non refundable deposit within 24 hours of auction end. If I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it. I can help recommend shippers I have used in the past who have been very reasonable. If you have any questions at all, lease call 563 568 1182 or 563 568 5111.
