Description of 1969 Chevrolet Impala

Im selling my 1969 Impala. I am also selling it locally in dallas. if you check popular websites that sell all sorts of things in all different cities. you will probably find this posted with more pictures than allowed on here. This awesome classic car has 86000 original miles. its still running strong on the factory sbc 350 engine with factory TH350 transmission. It still has the original paint (has cracks. rust spots. nicks. scratches. and peeling paint). It has the original AM radio. but I cut the connector off the end of the wire loom. so I could wire it to a modern stereo. which sits in a little temporary stereo box on the floor. Ac does not work. I added r12 to the appropriate level. and it kicks on. but there is a significant leak at the compressor hose. may need new o-rings. or new hoses. or new compressor and expansion valve and receiver drier; it's been such good weather I have not had time to mess with it. It has bench seats in GREAT condition. I was going to purchase some nice aftermarket bucket seats. sell the bench seat on ebay. and then make a center console to hold the aftermarket stereo. seatbelts in great shape. interior is in near perfect condition (except arm rests). If I had the time. space. and inclination. could definitely part it out and make quite a bit more money than the vehicle is worth; but my garage is so full of junk I can't even fit a car in there. much less a cars worth of spare parts to sell. It is a great little daily driver and oh so comfortable on the highway. runs premium gas and is a gas guzzler so it just makes sense for me to switch to a daily driver with better gas mileage (also it has been the source of many arguments and grief with my wife. and It would be a happier home If I switched to a different vehicle. so that she and I are not reminded of those arguments). When I bought it. it had a bad oil pump. seized brakes. super bad fuel system. clogged carb with a leaky fuel line. and bad brake lines. All that has been fixed! It has a Brand new gas tank. the metal fuel lines were flushed out. new fuel pump. new fuel hoses. new fuel filter. New Holley 650 Carburetor. New brake hoses. new brake shoes. flushed brake system. a month or so after getting inspection it overheated due to bad radiator cap. Stopped immediately and fixed the problem. New radiator cap. new thermostat and radiator hoses. (cap was the problem. the other parts where just because I was there and they were cheap) recently the hood hinges failed (folded wrong when I was closing the hood). I purchased and have the new ones. have not installed yet. Extras: -extra SBC 350 (worth 300-500ish) which was working when pulled from a chevy work van. was going to go over it and chrome it out. then pull the original 350 and drop it in after painting the engine compartment. -a variety of extra Impala parts from a 69 Impala that was parted out a year ago. -Rear chrome bumper (worth 250ish) Now it is tagged and inspected and has been on the road for about 8 months. Previous owner dragged right fender and passenger door against a fence or something. so needs some body work will take pictures tonight. Needs paint. or keep it as is if you like it.
