1971 in America… Richard Nixon was president and a ban on radio and TV cigarette ads went into effect. All in The Family with Archie Bunker debuted and Johnny Unitas led the Baltimore Colts to win Super Bowl V. Jim Morrison was found dead in a bathtub in France and Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident. I was 10 years old but somehow I seem to remember all of this. And I remember the 71 Camaro Z28 Rally Sport as my love and my passion for these cars began at a very young age.

Up for auction is an absolutely gorgeous 1971 Chevy Camaro Z28 RS Split Bumper. This car is stunning and it is laser straight. I personally have never seen one nicer. If you want the best then look no further. Cars like this Camaro are just not available every day and this is a rare opportunity to own one of the best in the country… without a doubt. This car looks like it could be sitting on the showroom floor of any Chevrolet dealership in America. This car is a true piece of American history.

The Tuxedo Black paint and body is finished to super high show quality. It has a deep mirror finish and an unbelievable laser straight body. I don’t believe that it would be possible to have a better paint and body than this car has. All of the glass, he chrome, he trim, he bright work, he wheels, he lights and so forth are show quality also. The doors and panels fit flawlessly and the stance is perfect. It also has the Firestone Wide Oval 60’s which were the iconic muscle car tires of the late sixties and early seventies.The car was restored approximately 5 years ago and it has never been in the weather and it has been pampered, rotected, nd loved. It’s the right color, t has the right stance and look, nd there is nothing not to like about this Z28 Rally Sport!

The engine and the engine bay are finished out show room and show quality also as you will see in the many pictures listed below. The motor numbers on the engine pad are as follows… 11N567509 V1211CGR, hich would be correct… however, believe it is a re-stamped block and not the original numbers matching motor. My basis is because the block casting number is 3970014 date code 1-70. I have pictures of the numbers posted below and you can decide for yourself on that information. In my opinion it is a genuine Z28…however with a non-numbers matching re-stamped block but one of the nicest restored cars I’ve ever had the pleasure of owning.

The interior follows suit with the rest of the car and it is original restored and nice.
