Description of 1979 Chevrolet Corvette |
| This car has the base L48 engine producing 195 hp and 285 ft lbs of torque compared to the L82 engine that produces 30 more horses. but 15 LESS ft lbs of torque. It also has wider. lower profile Kelly Charger Radials P235-60/R15 than the original P225-70/R15. Note: A vehicle history report is not available for this car due to it being manufactured before 1981. ***This beautiful car has always been garage kept. never seen the rain or snow. and never smoked in. *** I recently did the following work on the car: - Drained and changed the oil and filter. - Complete detail to the exterior (Using the following Meguiar's products: cleaner-wax. carnauba wax. deep crystal polish. and Tech Wax 2. 0) - giving it the ultimate shine and protection as you can SEE in the photos. CONDITION:Engine: The engine runs great. and sounds even better - gotta love that V8 sound. especially when it's idling. Paint: This is the original paint. and it is in very good shape considering its age. The are a few visible scratches as follows: on the tip of the front bumper (as seen in the photos). The exterior sport mirror edges also show paint wear (as seen in the photos). and there are very small nicks to the front of the rear fenders (as seen in the photos) which is normal wear and tear from driving. There are also a few random nicks here and there from the car being driven in northern VA. Interior: The interior is in great shape (the seats have no tears or stains); but the floor mats. which are original. have seen better days. T-Tops: The T-Tops have a mirror finish. and the T-Tops storage bags are in mint condition. never used. Added Bonus: Dot-Matrix Film/Tint has been added to T-Tops to improve reduction of sun glare. All exterior seals around doors/windows have been cleaned and sealed with silicone to preserve their softness. To the best of my knowledge. everything functions properly (i. e. headlights. power locks. power windows. power antennae. etc. )Added Bonus: Recently purchased - Brand New - 7-Layer Car Cover by theCoverFactory. It has breathable. waterproof layers with outdoor-indoor fleece lining. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Here are the things that have been replaced with non-reproduction parts. but to the best of my knowledge. they are all available:- Black leather shifter boot from Eckler's. - Upgraded the air filter to a SPEED by Spectre - High Performance filter (part no. 880326). - Upgraded the AM/FM/Cassette Stereo (which replaced the original 8-track AM/FM stereo 10 years ago) to a 2014 Pioneer MVH-X560BT AM/FM - Digital Media Receiver (Bluetooth/USB/MP3/WMA/iPod/iPhone/Android-based Smartphone - Compatible). Remote included. Instructions/Warranty paperwork included. Has a removable face-plate. Seamless installation (as shown in photos). As a bonus. previous to my ownership of the car. nbsp;a 600-watt amp and two (2) 10-inch subs in custom boxes were installed in the rear deck area. They can be hidden by the stock retractable tonneau rear deck cover.
